Kyle Rittenhouse Rifle Shooter in Kenosha, supine position shoots three 8-25-20 (Read 116009 times)

I think this was not about their ratings.  This was a bunch of activists in a radical left media organization trying to affect the outcome of the trial.

They've been publishing outright lies and negative opinions about the defense and defendant, and trying to portray the prosecution's case in a way that totally ignores the facts presented.

The judge is so pissed now, he's probably thinking this is the last time he's going to allow a high profile case to be televised/streamed.  He made comments to that effect previously -- due to the abysmal media coverage he's seen.

I agree.  I was trying to be funny but now that I think about it, kinda lame, LOL! ;D

I'd take it a step further. The democratic party wants to be able to send their violent street thugs anywhere and everywhere in order to terrify and intimidate the population into supporting their communist policies.

The second amendment gets in their way.

If Rittenhouse is found innocent and the Democrats send in their rioters again like they did last time, a lot of patriots are going to stand up and put down the real insurrection.

If a civilian with a firearm can justifiably shoot and kill multiple attackers who had no knives or guns, and can also shoot and injure another who "only" pointed his gun but never fired, then all those Cops who shot an "unarmed Black man" lose part of the narrative that drives the outrage mobs.

Being unarmed will no longer be a catch phrase, because you won't have to be armed to justify use of deadly force.

So many implications hinge on the outcome of this trial.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

This wouldn't be the first time an unarmed threat was shot and killed though, so if he didn't get convicted it wouldn't exactly set a new precedent. If it gets appealed and goes higher then it will have stronger implications though.

I can't find the video but I heard a clip of one idiot claiming that white supremacists will only allow so many white people to get convicted and the officer was already convicted in killing George Floyd so therefore Rittenhouse was going to go free and the killers of Ahmad Arbury are going to go free. What an ignorant bitch that was.

I didn't say it was as "new precedent."  I said the "Defund the Police" groups would lose part of their narrative.  They've pushed "unarmed Black man" as a theme for a few years, and there have been few high profile cases where unarmed attackers were dispatched by a non-Cop and ruled legally justified.

Cops who shoot "unarmed Blacks" and get off with no consequences are being vilified because many assume the Cops are being shielded by the government via qualified immunity.  But someone defending themselves with a firearm against unarmed attackers without legal consequences who can't claim qualified immunity is a much bigger deal.

Just because it's happened before is not the point.  The point is this case brings the issue to the forefront of this narrative and destroys a good portion of it.

That ignorant person you described probably still thinks/believes the people Rittenhouse shot were all Blacks.  The media tried to give that impression early on, and so many people took that bait.  Now they are shocked to learn (if they are watching the trial at all) that every single person involved was White.

On the level of arguments to society sure but this isn't the first time we have seen cases like this so I don't think it really changes anything. The Zimmerman trial did the same thing years ago. You could say this one reinforces it of course and I would agree. Also just pisses the liberals off more ;)

I tried to find the video but don't know who made the comment, it was just an audio clip on the radio show I listen to. The sheer stupidity of some people amazes me and this person wasn't just someone ignorant because of poor news information, she was spouting crazy stuff, as if white supremacists control who is allowed to be taken to court or not.

I did see a good meme today about how the media has spent more time lying about Rittenhouse than it did reporting the Epstein story.

I hope he sues the media like how Sandman did.

Expect rioting to begin tonight in Kenosha.

What people don't understand is that this should have never gone to trial. it's 100% political which means corruption on the prosecution side.  Even though he was found not guilty, lawyers cost money, his name is more out there now, which will impact any future jobs, and things like this.  There is video of the entire incident, so it's not like there are conflicting stories.  It is easy to see who is lying and who isn't.

So everyone take note, this could happen to any one in the US.  We are at the mercy of a corrupt state department.
