They updated the Koko head website.

The Koko Head Shooting Complex will be closed to the public during the "Stay at Home" Order, scheduled to end Sept. 24, 2020.

In a related story, it seems Hawaii is the only place in the US that is forcing people out of business...

WTF is Caldwell thinking?

Furthermore, since people are only supposed to go hiking alone, that violates one of the basic common-sense safety rules of hiking.

I think that Caldwell just lacks leadership like many of our elected officials. But that is too simple and somewhat naive.
I believe there are some people/organizations who have specific interests in targeting segments of our population for their own agendas during this pandemic.

I started cracking up laughing when the news article mentioned that "people ARE AGAIN confused about the new restrictions....."

It seems that from the very beginning Ige and Caldwell have been sending out contradicting stay at home orders.

The idiocy really hit me today.

I went to Ala Moana to paddle board with my friend.
Two steps on the sand....illegal.
Two steps in the water.....legal.

Literally less than ten feet separated us from illegal to legal.
Technically we could have been illegal but cops and lifeguards don’t bother anyone in the water.

Family shows up. Walks to water all separated. Gets knee deep. Family again.
Parents and three kids.
Couldn’t do it on a hiking trail though.

Swimming by yourself? You ever seen Ala Moana channel at 6:30 am? Couldn’t swim, paddle board by yourself if you wanted to.

Choke cops cruising through Ala Mo on a regular basis.

And apparently paddle board rental is an essential business.

Kokohead range is the most controlled public park they got. Closed.  :wtf:

We're having a similar issue with our home surf break.   Parks director has been blowing BS to the public.   Maybe some heads will roll.  Should start a complaint campaign now, to bolster the number of issues against the parks director.
