Yeah I miss my BP Bruddahs. We always had some interesting guns to shoot. The amount of knowledge between all the old guys was tremendous as well. We always welcomed everyone and encouraged them to come shoot our guns. What a treat that was.  :shaka:

Was cool too when you and the other BP guys enjoyed shooting my "new fangled" guns.   ;D

Not sure if I ever told you, but in like my second or third trip to the range, I shot next to one of your BP buddies.  He shot my AR and I shot his bolt action .223.  That started my interest in bolt actions.  Cool dudes.

I can say without hesitation that they are all good people. As a matter of fact I can say you were an honorary member of our group.  :shaka:

Well, they shared their coffee and donuts with me, so I'd say so.   ;D

Having to search for it huh? Exactly my point..... SMH
Just like SA's acknowledgement of 9/11, buried deep in their worthless "news" rag.

The media has yet to develop  the technology to beam news straight into my brain so yes, I had to go look at news sources to find the story.

Point is that you should check to see if other news sources really aren't reporting it before claiming they aren't and are therefore biased.

The media has social media, tv stations, Twitter, et al.

We hear 57 times a day about covid.  Yet a medication that benefits millions becoming affordable,  and saves millions of lives is not given the same or even more exposure?  Yeah, it shows what bias there are here. SMH.

How do you know they aren't giving the same exposure? Do you consume all news outlets equally? Saying you never saw it therefore bias  doesn't mean anything unless you are really checking multiple news sources. I am not making the case that CNN isn't biased though, rather I am hoping we can elevate our critical thinking above the level of assuming that because you didn't see it on CNN that they didn't cover it and therefore are pushing some narrative. That just digs us further into out foxholes.

On top of that, claiming bias based on what is and isn't covered can be problematic. There are so many things that could be covered that a news outlet has to pick and choose which stories they are going to run. This leaves the door open to claims of bias all the time because one side can always point out something the other side didn't cover.

Consider also that social media is smart. They figure out your preferences and show you more stuff that goes along your beliefs/hobies/etc. So if you normally look at Fox news you are probably going to get more Fox stories and fewer CNN stories. This is great because you can focus on products/news/sports you are interested in, the downside is that it can give us a false sense of the situation.

Trump announced last year that Medicare beneficiaries would be receiving a debit card soon with $200 credit to be used for drug and other medical expenses.

$200 isn't a massive amount, but it's better than $0.00.  Plus, that's another $200 per person that makes it out of DC and goes into the economy.

Effectively, yes.  That's $200 for healthcare that you don't have to pay out-of-pocket!

Interesting that Trump did mention this specifically during the debate.

Interesting that Trump did mention this specifically during the debate.

He had a very limited amount of time.  Plus, it's a one-time debit card -- for now at least.  The things he mentioned in the debate are policies that create ongoing benefits for people using Medicare.
