You do know because the Republicans controlled the senate they purposely delayed stuff right?
FYI I think packing courts is stupid
You do know the Dems controlled the House and Senate during the first two years of the Obama Administration, and the only thing they seemed to care about was shoving Obamacare down our throats.
Do you also know the Dems controlled the Senate from 2007 until 2015? If my math is correct, that's 8 years the Dems had all the power in the Senate they needed to push through judges. In fact, Harry Reid implemented the "nuclear option" to do just that -- changed the rules so only 50 votes were needed to stop filibusters and vote for federal judge nominations.
If the Republicans blocked Obama's nominations, maybe there are a few reasons. One would be how the Dems ran roughshod over the GOP in Congress shoving ACA through without a single Republican voting for it. Maybe Reid changing the rules to bypass GOP members of the Senate pissed them off, taking full control of a confirmation process that was reserved for the Senate, not just the majority.
Once the Republicans gained the majority in BOTH chambers of Congress, it was viewed as a mandate by the people to rein in Obama's out-of-control Leftwing/Progressive policies. One way to do that was to slow his roll on lifetime appointments to the federal bench. If anyone was trying to pack the courts with activist judges, it was always the Democrats. Hell, we have only to look at the 9th Circus, and the record number of times their decisions have been reversed by the Supreme Court, to know that's a true statement.
"Elections have consequences". -- Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, etc.
BTW, I've seen the number 105 floating around versus 128 or 180 court vacancies given to Trump. Since he's on track to confirm over 300 by election day, that detail is a bit superfluous.
