Even when Republicans "owned it all"
the Hudson bill failed to get a hearing.
This is going to have to come from the Supreme court.
or it will be litigated to death, which is probably why Hudson
didn't get much attention.
If all states have to recognize a Marriage license, a drivers
license, then they have to recognize a open or conceal
carry license.
I find it distasteful that 9 people hold total power over
Americans, but that is the system we have.

Both sides are reluctant to bring anything up for a vote if they already know in advance it can't pass.  The only thing worse than a bill not getting a vote is one that was voted down.

Same reason many cases the Supreme Court should hear are not brought to the court.  If the court is heavily weighted to the Left, pro-gun lawyers are probably going to lose. If that happens, it becomes precedent and can hurt future cases.  Now that ACB is destined to joint the Supreme Court, there may be a better chance for these cases to get a fair, unbiased hearing.

Conservatives want to win fairly under the laws and rules in place.  The ideas and arguments are usually able to withstand judicial scrutiny if the judges are a majority non-activist.

Liberal-Progressives just want to win ... PERIOD.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
