Lucky for me, it's available for free on IMDB-TV.  Yay!!   

I should have time to watch 3 & 4 tonight.  Better get cracking!

Would you rather go to hell or go to nothing?  Not sure why nothingness gives people such fear. 

I have thought about that and I don't have an answer. Obviously, and logically, when you die, if there is nothing, then you never know that there is nothing. But for some reason it still is frightening.

You can have a meanful life with kids and make the world a better place and still "turn to nothing".

Not really, we can pretend that life had meaning or that we were good but in the end if there is no god/omnipotent force/something supernatural then none of that exists. No right/wrong, no good/evil, no real meaning.

I already listed what movies scare me so I'll share what scares me in everyday life:

That I might live long enough to see one of my children die.  I pray this won't happen.

That I might live long enough to see my beloved wife pass away before I do.  I also pray this won't happen.

That my belief that I am unafraid of death proves wrong at the moment of my demise.

That I might live long enough to see the changes the political left wants to do to our country.

That my can of vienna sausage I just opened has only 6 instead of seven......

Just open a second can.  Then you'll have an average of 6.5 per can.  With rounding, you'll have 7 each.

If what you do in this life has an impact on the ones to come, then morality takes on a whole different dimension. If we invest in the idea of reincarnation and are wrong then we lose nothing except a pleasant fantasy and some extra discipline. Who is going to know any better? It is a far superior motivator to live a life of virtue than the concept of heaven and hell. First off nature has no permanent states, and second of all H&H encourage people to break faith. What if this is the only chance you have to live it up before an eternity of fire? Bring on the cocaine and hookers!

Interesting. Not sure why humans can't just live a good life to live a good life and pass on good memories. Until they invent immortality the only thing of you that lives on earth is the memories of yourself or your accomplishments.  If there is a afterlife, than that can be a bonus.  Fear shouldn't be everyone's only motivation.

Please don't drag it down.  We already know you hate religion.  Plenty of other threads in which you can add your anti-religion thoughts.

Right or wrong. Heaven or hell. Conservative or liberal. It is all binary thinking trying to make a complex situation more simple in order to influence and control the kind of people who prefer not to think for themselves. Results are what matters, and church attendance has been declining rapidly for a while now while the numbers of religious unaffiliated have been climbing. With a depressing messages like H&H it is no wonder people have difficulty keeping the faith.

If everyone behaved like that then your communist utopia might actually be possible.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark was a book that creeped me out when I was younger.  I believe there's a movie out like that. 

The paranormal activity seemingly reality type movies creep me out for "what if" context.  I have lots of buddies who have paranormal activity stories and many of those creep me out.  I have had some experiences, but none that made me to the level of "eff that, I am NEVER going back there". 

What scared me last night is that I ate more candy than I gave away!

(Although some movies are freaky like Blair Witch and Amityville. Make you look around in the dark. )

My wife and I fought over the Reese’s Mini Cups. She finally got fed up and went through the entire bag and took them all out. The few kids that came didn’t get any. They got mostly Butterfingers.

Went camping this past weekend.  Lots of spooky stories.  Made for some heightened awareness when we all went to sleep.
