Are you able to access 2A from a web browser?
« on: October 27, 2020, 09:23:23 AM »
Hi all,

I mainly access via my phone using Tapatalk but wanted to leave feedback for some trades. I haven’t been able to get the forums to load.  I can see the main menu but no luck on loading individual sections.

Anyone else having issues?  I’ve tried 3 different browsers and all no go.

Thanks

Thanks guys
Been down over 24 hrs for me.

Glad others are not able to access.  Was thinking I pissed off the wrong moderator....again!

Couldn't access for past 2 days.  I was thinking maintenance or implementation of new user tools but usually there would be a notice saying such.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

Suppose this 2A site was targeted for extinction by the dark side.
Perhaps we should designate an alternate method of disseminating information.
Like a rally point during an emergency situation.

It’s too bad I am no longer a web host and website developer. I would have volunteered to build an appropriate site and donated a few gigs of space. Is there anyone here who has the time and the resources to help out?

The site that I am (or looks like was) admin on could have been an option.  However, the main admin partner is going through some "life issues", so in a bit of limbo.

Thanks for the offer. But for me I no longer have the desire to do anything like work. I did enough of it during my working years. I’m trying to distance my retired self from my used to getting up every morning working self. I would be more apt to help fund something. How about you? It doesn’t take a whole lot to installed the software and give the mods here the same rights.

Yeah, setting up a headless server most likely (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/Bitnami-Simple-Machines-Forum-Certified-by-Bitnami/B013RNLHDA)
Getting the domain redirected and the statics set,  not the hardest work in the world.   Though I am unsure on porting current data over.

Hardest part would be paying the bills not sure who does that now. Appears they got everything running now though.  So we might be fine.

I want nothing to do with a 2A site run by a millennial like that one.   Might as well just sign up to Facef*ck if I want that crap.

Glad to be back. Was wondering if it was sabotage. This day and age it is not out of the question.

I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.
