Yeah, I added that paragraph as a twist of the knife so to speak.

I have a Millennial nephew who hangs out with my Progressive cousin a lot. He hates Trump with a passion. He has been influenced by my cousin. We don’t talk about it because he knows I will stand up to him about Trump when he is wrong about Trump. But I did have a chance recently to discuss how his house rental business is going. He was mad at Trump because during the Obama years real estate in Indiana where he invests was very slow. He was able to buy several properties there very cheap (He owns more houses than I do BTW). Then Trump comes in and energizes the economy and now all of the sudden housing prices are soaring and rents are up tremendously. But now he can’t afford to buy houses down there due to the boom in housing. Or at least not as many as he was. So now all if the sudden his net worth is much higher and his monthly income is much higher than it was 3 or 4 years ago. Gee, that is a terrible thing to be mad at the president for. That’s the Millennial mindset.

We had a long talk about our cyclical economy. He now has a better understanding of what to do when our economy is booming and when it is not. And he better understands the pros and cons of the real estate market during ebbs and flows. I think he decided to wait to see if Biden gets in or not. I think he learned to hold and/or sell during Trump and buy during Biden. At least I hope that is what he took from our conversation. You have to learn how to make money in any market situation over the long term.

As a side note, he won’t tell me who he voted for. Besides his hatred of trump, he has always kept his political beliefs pretty much to himself. But he hinted that after our discussion that he comes across as a Trump hater because he lives in CA and that is what everyone in CA does. And then he said you would be surprised how conservative I really am. I don’t know how to take that?

Do you have any names of swamp creatures still in his cabinet?
Aside from the AG Barr, and Defense Secretary Esper that Trump does not always see eye-to-eye, the one person that perhaps secretly despised Trump the most was State Secretary Pompeo.  I have always contented that Trump is not an imperialist or warmonger, which was the only reason, I have voted and supported Trump since 2016.  However, Pompeo is an imperialist, who was always looking to get the US, into a shooting war with China, by supporting insurrection in Hong Kong; selling offensive weaponry to Taiwan; playing chicken with the PLAN, in the South China Sea; and etc.

The fact there is still no war between the US and China is solely because of Trump not going along, with the imperial war agenda.  It is because of Trump's reluctance, to give in, to the warhawks, that the imperialists, in this country, probably felt that Trump has to be replaced, perhaps with a senile old man, who would be pliable, to go to war, with China, Russia, Iran or whatever nation they deem advantageous, to overthrow or takeover.

Politicians who make promises that they actually can keep are non existent.
And probably will never be.

He really blew it in the leadership department with COVID IMHO.
Not that Biden or whoever could have done any better, but Trump messed up, on that one.

Whether they voted for Biden or another candidate they allowed their feelings to control their vote and I blame Trump for all his stupid Tweets and statements. I can get over stupid when I see great accomplishments. But some younger folk can’t get over their feelings and vote accordingly.
That is the scary part.  That kind of mentality is the norm and is the future mindset, of the American people.  As I said many times earlier, this nation is an empire, in-denial, that has been on decline, for some time now.  The American Republic that most, on this forum were taught and/or served to defend, has become a nostalgic museum piece.

Everyone knows how, I routinely get chastised and dog-piled, for my interpretation, of the US being an empire, and how I always contented, for many years now, how America could balkanize, have a civil war, or break-out, in a violent revolution.  The fact talk, of civil war and succession, is now a realty, only validated, what I knew, what was coming ahead, way back then.

TBH, I knew the US empire was coming to an end, but I did not realize that the beginning, of its final leg, of demise, would be so soon, especially, after this presidential election.  What happens politically, socially, and psychologically, to this nation state now, will indeed shock the World.

In case you are not aware Esper is on his way out. Whether he is fired or he resigns is really the only question now. Pompeo is the surprise here for me. I always felt in the back of my mind that he wanted to take us into a war. But I have no proof of that. Considering he has been instrumental in a lot (if not all) of the peace and trade agreements since he has been in the administration I felt that I was wrong about him. What do you base your statement about him wanting to get us into a war on? AG Barr has been a great disappointment to me. I was lead to believe he is a stand up guy and he was going to come in and clean house in the FBI. But a lot of the Swamp Creatures still are there like director Wray. Also, I believe there is enough evidence to charge HRC with some crimes and yet he stated there is not enough evidence. I get the feeling someone got to him but that is just a feeling.

You know that you and I don’t agree on our government. It’s not that I don’t understand how you feel. I actually do. And in a couple of points you and I agree. I think intent is where you and I disagree. But we have discussed this in the past. I do think that our republic is in grave danger of being overthrown. Or fundamentally changed. It has been whittled away more and more. AZ, NV and UT are turning blue almost every election. I think once these states are taken over by the left, our country is going to go very quickly towards Socialism. I just don’t know how quickly that is going to be. The way I see our government being toppled is by bankrupting it. Once we are in a position that we cannot pay our bills, the Marxists and/or Socialists will move in and acquire power that they claim is necessary to get our country out of trouble. And we the sheeple will allow it to happen. Not those of us that don’t agree with Socialism. But the Millennials and other generations that have drunk the kool-aid and vote with their emotions rather than their heads. This is how I feel an overthrow and/or a civil war is going to occur. The question to me is, how quickly the left can garner enough power under our republic (ie majorities in senate, house and president) to shove enough onerous bills such as Obamacare that will cost us so much that our debt quickly rises to the point we can no longer pay the interest on the money we borrow and then default. Of course what will happen is the FED will be forced to devalue the dollar and then print massive amounts in order to keep up with the debt and massive inflation occurs. The more we devalue and print the faster inflation rises and we spiral down out of control. Eventually China, who owns a lot of our debt is going to demand tangible assets instead of dollars. When we run out of assets we go to war or the Socialists come to power and give in to China in exchange for avoiding war. That is when the civil war scenario could occur. Some states are going to want to secede from the US but of course the Socialists control both coasts and the rest of the states are landlocked and have no way of existing without the coastal states. Starvation can be a very convincing tool. I very well could be wrong. There are other scenarios. I just think this is the most likely. If we bankrupt ourselves we are at the mercy of the other strong countries. Freedom as we know it will cease to exist.

One thing I disagree with you about is debt.
The vast majority of our debt is owed to Americans, China is not our greatest holder of debt, Japan is.
It is Social security and all the institutional debt holders that will get stiffed.  Read another way
all the old retirees, will get "stiffed".

I'm only worried about China in the sense that They have bought our Deep state Socialist enablers.
Biden as an example. and introduced institutional cheating into power in America.

As for succession, True coastal blue cities control most of the ports, but that is all they do.
if you look at the way GDP is calculated, it includes government spending, entertainment, financial,
services, service industry, and High "tech", most of what I mentioned doesn't produce anything. no food, no power, no
no water, very little manufacturing, or nature resource exploitation.  In other wards they only make or process
money, nothing tangible is produced.  Can you eat a movie, or a TV show?  Can a bank produce electricity?
Do you really need to eat out at a restaurant?  I'm a software engineer, the only real value of what I produced in my lifetime
is tools used to produce something else.  Face book and Twitter can't  even do that, yet they are worth hundreds of billions.
It is all make believe GDP.  What is a dollar really worth?
I have a Heifer in my pasture that is worth over 1400$.  Wrong!
She  is worth 20 years worth of food for my family and then some.  She can have babies.
We have to learn that the box we are in, is defective.  Just because a political party says
this is how we should live and this is all settled science,  just doesn't make it so.
Majority rule is tyranny, as is a monarchy, as is an oligarchy.
Democrats would have you believe our Majority elected oligarchy is legitimate.
As we Hawaiian citizens have recently discovered, the only value of such a society is what
producing people are willing to invest in it.  I'm not willing to invest in any Democrat ruled
society.  So let them secede or we should secede from them.

Sorry, it was not my intention to paint such a bleak picture. It was my intention to just state how I feel something like this could happen. One difference that Kuleana and I have is how and why it will happen. But mostly when. He feels it is going to happen soon. I really just don’t know. The problem is no one knows what the exact amount of debt it takes to not be able to pay the interest on our debt. Is it 1 more trillion or 100 more trillion? If Joe Biden is declared our next president elect then at least we kept the senate. Because if the Democrats get all 3 parts of our government (excluding SCOTUS) this could happen sooner rather than later. Like you, I hope I am long gone by the time it happens. I thought that Trump would address our debt issue. And it sounded like he was going to in his next term. But I doubt he could have done much without the house being in his corner. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

I know you philosophically disagree, with my premise, and respect your views, but the US empire is in decline economically, morally bankrupt, racially and philosophically divided, and the lists could go on.  The deep state, power elite, ultra-wealthy, banking cartels, or whatever you wish to call those, who really control the empire, know the end days, of the US, is at hand.

The only way they can save their empire is by going to war, with the country that is slated to take its place, China.  This, of course, is sheer insanity considering such a war would entail nuclear weapons, at some point.  However, those at the top, appear willing to risk war, since those groups already have their bunkers, global hideaways, survival food, supplies, guns, etc., and maybe their own miniature army, for all we know.  They will live on and any starving survivors would be willing servants, to their new feudal masters.

It is this premise above, that I justify my observations, of the US's geopolitical policy towards China.  The bottom line: China has economically defeated the US empire using their socialist-led version, free market capitalism.  Similar to the British empire before, the US empire thinks going to war with China, as the British empire did with Germany, will solve their problems.  However, there are no real winners, when it comes to WWIII.

AG Barr has been a great disappointment to me. I was lead to believe he is a stand up guy and he was going to come in and clean house in the FBI. I get the feeling someone got to him but that is just a feeling.
The Clintons have a dead man's switch and those who really control the US empire are probably the ones, who might even threatened Trump, with a Kennedy-like assassination, if he pursued the matter further.

The question to me is, how quickly the left can garner enough power under our republic (ie majorities in senate, house and president) to shove enough onerous bills such as Obamacare that will cost us so much that our debt quickly rises to the point we can no longer pay the interest on the money we borrow and then default.
The bankrupting of America, is no longer limited, to Democrat spending bills anymore.  As I presented, in the Covid-19 threads months ago, the FED has been loaning/dumping dollars directly, into the economy, with reckless impunity, not just in the US, but to the rest, of the US empire's allies.

When we run out of assets we go to war or the Socialists come to power and give in to China in exchange for avoiding war. That is when the civil war scenario could occur. Exactly, my contention.  The only difference is that I believe the US empire is bankrupt now and is unwilling to surrender its hegemon status, on this planet.  Hence, to avoid the civil war scenario you stated, the real rulers, of the US empire, are desperately trying to goad China, into a shooting war.

Freedom as we know it will cease to exist.
Freedom, as was described, in the Bill of Rights, has ceased to exist a long time ago.  As I contend, when the American Republic made the change to US empire, what its subjects now have is permitted freedoms, as evidenced, by the ongoing attacks, on all of the Amendments, in the Bill of Rights.
