Luckily, our state is such violation of the 2a, any federal rule/law would not affect us.  Suppressors, bump stocks, full auto, SBR, assault pistol, all already illegal.

Yep, at least 46 other states have to catch up to Hawaii before we feel any effects.

Of course, when the AWB is implemented, I reserve the right to change my opinion.   :shake:

You mean laws require senate approval?

There are ways to go around a GOP senate controlled house.  Like Biden's people could work direct with the alpha boiz and make more definitions to ban stuff.  XO could be passed.  And also you assume that all GOP members in the senate will side being pro 2a.  There are anti 2A GOP members.  IDK what part he was in house or senate, but McCain was a GOP member, but hated the 2a.  He was 1 vote that was lost for the national reciprocity to pass.

You didn't include context.

Try again.

To be posted as leader of organization some require senate approval to get that position, was wondering if this is one of them.

That is true,  you cant stop everything but those things can be undone with a new president in 2024.  As long as its not a law, its easily reversed.  Or the court can stop them.

*edit* googled it and yes senate needs to approve, so a anti 2a person is less likely to get approved by a republican senate.

I know you're young and inexperienced in the ways of Gov't, but presidents appoint advisors without any approval from any other body.

The media lovingly began calling these people "Czars."  Makes perfect sense they would pick a Soviet dictator's title.

Obama had dozens of these people, though not all had the same degree of power and influence over public policy.  You may recall that Biden was Obama's VP, so it's reasonable to assume he'll do the same.

We've seen Energy Czars, Economy Czars, Education Czars, Environment and Climate Change Czars, Employment Czars, and so forth.

Biden can appoint Beto as his "Gun Safety Czar" to hold meetings, gather research and hash out plans for implementation.  While he can't implement XOs himself, he can give that list to Biden.  He can also control a budget that includes hiring people with similar agendas, thereby using taxpayer funds to work against responsible gun owners.

I remember Obama named the CEO of General Electric (you may know them as "GE"   ) as his Job Czar in charge of running a job-focused panel during the housing bubble created recession.  This is the same CEO who exported most of GE's jobs overseas, and whose company paid close to nothing in taxes while seeing record revenue and profits.

Just demonstrating how f'ed up it is when friends of the President are put in positions that affect the country even though their lack of commitment and accountability to the people are apparent.
