From what I've seen:

Primers - not a whole lot
Powder - get, but some shops limited
Heads - I've been looking online

I ordered several times from https://www.evergladesammo.com/
great bullets.  i mostly order pistol projectiles but last 2 orders i did some rifle bullets too and some extra brass.  dont really need, but i'm stockpiling as much as i can afford
its a family business, so its packaging is kinda low budget but its packed well and ships pretty fast considering all the covid delays nowadays

Primers have dried up a long time ago here on the mainland. I would stock up on these fast and hard if you can. I check every day and SPP and SRP have not been available for months anywhere. I heard the reason is every primer manufactured is being used in 9mm and 223 production. Once they are gone on island it will be a while before you get more in stock. Powder is still shipping but just not in stock in the quantities we are all used to. I would buy when you can find it. If you don’t have 6 months to a years worth of primers you will run out if you don’t slow down your shooting. Heads are not so hard to find. But some manufacturers are always out such as Montana Gold. But the manufacturers that sell plated and powder coated bullets are barely keeping up with demand. If you are willing to pay full retail Sierra, Nosler, Hornady, Speer, etc are still available but may be a little hit and miss at times. Once fired and new brass is readily available. Tho I have noticed certain caliber such as 9mm, 357, 223 and 308 can be hit and miss at times.

I was able to find (or a buddy was able to find) some LFP in stock recently.  WGS had some Magtech that they were looking to get rid of, but I already had a bunch already.  I'm on waitlist for SPP, but I have a good amount of factory ammo and also buddies that have.  I'm still looking for a little more Varget and 8208, but I have a bunch of Titegroup "spoken for".

Extreme didn't have an option for shipping to HI when I checked recently.  I have a backorder in for one company and may check out Everglades (thanks to Stang).

Everglades is a good place. I am testing my first batch of Berry’s Bullets. They appear to be much higher quality than the Speer I just finished giving to my nephew.  They appear to be similar in quality to Xtreme. So far I was impressed with the Speer in my semi autos but I found them to be wanting when I shot them through my revolver. So no more Speer for me. If these Berry’s do the same as the Speer I am giving up altogether on plated bullets.

I love all the powders you are trying. Titegroup is my favorite pistol powder followed by Unique.

Let me know how the loading goes.

I follow mrgunsandgear he always posting 556 deals that are online but I know it don't help us out at all obviously they don't ship to Hawaii.  But there's some decent deals out there Ranier Arms has 1000 round "battle packs" of 556 for 749.99 which is 74 cents a round. There's ammo out there.

A friend of mine just bought two boxes of #9 birdshot (25 shells per box) from a LGS for around $62.00 per box = over $125.00.  For 50 shells of birdshot!

:wtf:

These boxes were going for almost 1/10th of that not too long ago . . .

That would mean that my #1 buckshot (if I had any) would be going for around $12.00 each (per shell).

Are target loads for trap/skeet still going for $60/case (250 rds)?

I didn’t think about stocking up for trap.

Yeah, Hawaii is a pretty messed up place for a gun owner, among other things........

And now Biden, if he becomes president ::) is going to work banning internet sales......

I say buy what you can now wherever you can, however you can.

Just came from there. They had lots. Good to see them (or other shops) getting ammo in. Selling for price too high for me, but not that bad and can hopefully get some folks that need ammo.

SEC mentioned above had a good amount of powder. Picked up my LRP that I got on the list for maybe a couple of weeks ago, so good to see supply coming in. They had some random small rifle and pistol primers on the shelf, but overall pretty barren. Lots of powder on hand, but the 1# cans and 8# jugs. Good selection of IMF and Hogdon. No R15 though. Some random rimfire, but not .22 LE, or at least the ones I would normally buy.

5.56 in stock as mentioned above, but limit on how much per day. I think it was a decent price.

Went by WGS and picked up another can of Varget. Some random primers, but only selling small amounts. Sounded like they were putting together an order of powder and primers when I was there. No idea on timeline, but sounded like they were ordering based on that their supplier was showing as available. So I may swing by there here and there to see when they get their order in.

Overall things still crazy. I’ve been lucky to find reloading supplies that I need locally and online, so hopefully no panic on ammo for me. Some prices I’ve been seeing have been  :o  ::)

Thought never even crossed my mind. But after I left, I was like “I’m sure that 200 rounds could help friends”.

Although about a third higher in price before these panic times, I say it's a decent price and I believe will not go lower anytime soon.

Thank you for sharing this information. :shaka:
