I was at the last range day a few weeks ago just to observe. It was my first and i enjoyed it. I'd like to participate in my next but have no gear and don't know where to start. Anybody care to recommend gear to start off with?

i know this is a 20+ page thread, but recommended gear has been covered several times in it
read the whole thing through starting from the back and you will get lots of info
if you search the forum for terms such as holster, battle belt, taco, skdtactical, pistol belt, hsgi you will get lots of info too

i got a dsg belt and holsters and mag carriers from dave at NSR tactical (search for NSR and you'll find his thread) to start out

come to the swap meet on the 31st and you can see some stuff for sale and discuss things with da gang

Especially the next range day because its pistol so your gonna need the belt and holster with mag pouches. That's if if if if we get to run due to the range closures and no one knows :wtf: :wtf: is going on

Maybe we should make a sticky out of  a list of highly recommended things to bring, and a list of optional items.  I know we run different days so we might want to have an equipment list for carbine only days, a list for pistol only days, and a list for combo rifle/pistol days.

All future days should have their own thread.

I think hes talking about the upcoming event links that the forum puts in there.

After those threads are built, they'll be linked to the calendar with links :)

February range day still a go?
Been looking forward to it since the last shoot.
Are the dates locked in yet?
The calendar hasn't been updated for people like me. (Can't figure out last Sat. of the month)
