And there are also places where masking and locking down have worked very well. I don't know why they worked in some areas but didn't work in others but there is not enough to simply say masks don't work because some big liberal city got hit badly despite having mask mandates.

Yes, Taiwan is an example, but they also closed off the entire country.  Citizens of Taiwan couldn't even leave.  Trump blocked China and caught huge heat over just 1 country.  They also are able to produce 20 million mask a day at their peak.  This is free to the people at 2 mask a week.  I would catergorize Taiwan as modified socialism.  But you know who else has no or little CV numbers?  North Korea.  When you can execute your citizens like they did that general who broke quarantine, it's easy to control a pandemic.  Guess communism does have it's perks.

So the fake news the other day blamed Trump for not hitting the vaxxx numbers he wanted.  The news today channel 1003 said about 20K of HI residents were vaxxed.  This is 1/3 of the vaxx that we have on hand.  So doesn't seem like a Trump fault, but a combo of logistics, waiting list, etc... But then again orangeman bad right.

We expect/trust the SAME local govt that gave us the rail project to be responsible and effective for administering a vaccine to all of its residents? With all the corruption within the State there is probably some shady things going on with the local vax distro.

Look at that new BS proclamation from Ige. Essential incoming workers now must be tested 3x. Where tourist just that 3 days before landing once time.  Mrs. CMO travels for work and this would fuck her over if she has to pay for each test.

That is main reason why the US will never be able to contain Covid-19, as does those Eastern Asian countries.  The type of government system has a lot to do with it, but the point is the leadership in those countries make and hold firm to the goal, in controlling that disease, at all costs, regardless of its death rate.

China is one of the few nations that are able to go back to business, at near normal, not because they believe Covid-19 is a hoax, but are committed, in stopping the community spread of that virus, as a people.  Whether it is fear of the government or the overwhelming personal desire to make money, the majority, of the Chinese, are committed to the Covid-19 actions taken, by their government.

The vaccine supply is not sitting in a FEMA warehouse waiting for Trump to sign a distribution order.  All the vaccine that's already produced has been distributed TO THE STATES.

Now it's up to states to decide on priorities and do the actual vaccinating.  Whether they use gov't health department people, private healthcare companies, or a combination, it's their call.  They could also call up National Guardsmen with medical training.  It's also their call regarding who gets it first.  The priorities could be elderly, those with pre-existing risk factors, and frontline first responders (need Cops, fire fighters, and EMT workers healthy).

examples:  In NYC, Gov. Cuomo is giving priority to prisoners over the elderly isolated at home or in nursing homes (at least there are fewer elderly, since his earlier decisions killed a couple thousand).  Meanwhile, Florida is allowing elderly to be voluntarily vaccinated even if they are not state residents.  They get a lot of "Snowbirds" -- elderly who live up North and spend the Winter months in FL.  They can get the shot if they are going to be there to also get the follow-up shot in a few weeks.

Even Fauci is saying we might  be able to meet his 70-80% herd immunity threshold by the Fall of 2021.  So, adjusted for ACTUAL herd immunity of 60-70%, it sounds like he admits we can hit that number by Summer, as other sites (like one I posted) estimated.

And that's in spite of the "slow" initial roll out of the vaccine.

These people (EEF & OG) who believe the MSM talking heads saying it'll take years to attain herd immunity levels just need to WTFU.  Stop swallowing the lies, just because they confirm your "facts".

Fauci Says U.S. Could Return To Normal By Fall 'If We Diligently Vaccinate'

Quote
Dr. Anthony Fauci believes the United States of America could get back to normalcy
by early fall 2021 if its diligent with its COVID-19 vaccinations.

Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)
and lead member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, provided an update on
the COVID-19 vaccine during a Facebook interview with California Governor Gavin Newsom
on Wednesday (December 30.)

According to Dr. Fauci, the vaccine rollout has gone slower than expected, but if the U.S. is
able to catch up, a widespread distribution of the vaccine could be possible in April. Government
officials initially promised at least 20 million COVID-19 vaccine doses would be available during
Phase 1 of distribution in December, but data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
shows only 12.4 million doses have been distributed and nearly 2.8 million have been administered,
CNN reports.
...
Dr. Fauci believes herd immunity -- enough people having antibodies to stop the spread of the virus --
is achievable if 70 to 85% of the U.S. population gets vaccinated.

"By the time we get to the early fall, we will have enough good herd immunity to be able to really get
back to some strong semblance of normality -- schools, theaters, sports events, restaurants," Dr. Fauci
said. "I believe if we do it correctly, we will be there by the early fall."

Or the panic of the “new mutation” in Colorado and others.

I recall studies of mutation of COVID-19 as far back as June-July. That the mutation was easier transmission but less severe. Seems like the “new” one that MSM is pushing panic on is similar.

I’m not all CMO tinfoil levels, but look at the timing. Make your own conclusions.

Do we have any reason to doubt Taiwan numbers though? I don't trust China and certainly don't trust North Korea. Personally I wouldn't equate socialism to mask mandates though, call it authoritarian if you like but socialism is really unrelated.

I love the American spirit of freedom but sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot with it. Remember when the guy had a bad strain of TB and told not to fly a few years back? Instead he decided his freedom was more important and jumped on a plane. Luckily I don't think anyone else got sick, or they were able to track them down before it spread anymore.

How many interactions have you had with Chinese and Taiwanese officials? Defense? Political figures?

Of course, because everyone loves to react as soon as possible without any deeper thought or even benefit of the doubt.

I heard a podcast about disseminating the vaccine and the sheer complexity of it was enough to guarantee that there was no way it would go off as planned. The number of plane flights alone needed to spread the vaccines was astounding. Then you have all the normal problems of logistics, the complex storage systems for the Pfizer vaccine, people who are eligible but simply don't want the vaccine, etc.

I don't think mutations should come as a surprise. As I understand it, influenza mutates relatively quickly and this is why it is hard to get vaccines for influenza that are as effective as desired.

Did they work in some places? How would you prove that? While we can definitely say they did not help in some areas it is a lot more difficult to prove the opposite. You are making a classic mix up of correlation and causation. Not very scientific.

Remember, the "slow" roll-out of the vaccine is all Trump's fault -- never mind that without Trump, we probably would have had no vaccine to distribute in less than 18 months.

12.5M doses of the estimated 20M have been distributed to the states.  Of that, only 3M have been administered.  Again:  all Trump's fault.

Fauci estimated we'd have herd immunity at 50%, then 60%, then 70%, then 80% -- but he's allowed, since this stuff is "new" and all.  But, when Trump reports an estimate of doses to be distributed to the states -- an estimate provided by the manufacturers -- it's just one more mark in his "he fumbled the COVID-19 football" scorecard yet again.

Now we have a doctor tampering with the vaccines -- about 500 doses -- which makes the injection ineffective (CDC says no negative effects were reported or are expected, but no details reported on what the tampering entailed).  Once again, this was all avoidable if Trump hadn't been so incompetent.

Weather, holidays and other "life" factors have been hindering distribution on many regions -- all because of Trump.

I fully expect a President Biden will be blaming Trump still for any and every problem that arises the next 4 years, just like Obama blamed Bush for 8 years.  That is, assuming the Press even bothers to let the public know about any problems (just like Obama's scandal-free presidency).
