Republicans are more likely to be pro-personal choice, which is a lot different than being anti mask.

Mask wearing is a D or R thing? In reality? Or that’s what the media makes it out to be?

Below is a post from a VERY Liberal and openly Democrat, who is also a Trump hater and quick to criticize Trump on mask policy.

Well, he goes in a vacation to a diff country and is out partying without mask. Quite a bit actually in his vacation.

Eh, have your opinions about masks, or anything in general. But to generalize it as anything more than a personal choice is just

Need more "science" re the efficacy of masks? I've previously posted the CDC systematic review of 10 RCTs concluding: "...we found no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks" and "Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza." But here are some pictures worth a thousand words, though I do include the words from Tom Woods, titled "Anti-COVID measures don't work, so that's your fault".

Remember when the CDC credited masks for bringing down "cases" in Arizona?

Problem with these graphs is that they are only comparing the numbers to when mandates were put into place. They don't indicate levels of compliance, don't indicate surge testing related results, and don't seem to represent any other variables or factors either.

The information you are referencing also appears to be incorrect.

You are being deliberately obtuse. It does not take an intellectual giant to see how a virus with a 99.97% recovery rate is still being used as a political weapon long after it was discovered to be nowhere near as dangerous as the hype.

A political weapon used how? I mean sure, a good politician will never let a tragedy go to waste, but actually using it as a weapon? How?

One of the problems with pointing at the high recovery rate and saying that we didn't need all the intervention is that the intervention is part of the reason the recovery rate is high. Had we done nothing special we would likely see worse recovery rates and we still would have seen a big dip in the economy.

Good point.  But that doesn't discount the fact that public areas are made for the masses.  And it's a safety issue.  Race isn't a health issue.

It is if there's a "consensus".

isn't that how the COVID science works?

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.

Other than the fact in this forum the ones against mask mandates lean republican....

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/05/15/73-democrats-are-wearing-masks-fight-coronavirus-only-59-republicans-are/%3foutputType=amp

"In public" is an ambiguous term.  According to THE SCIENCE, if you can Socially Distance yourself by 6 feet of more, a mask offers no additional protection against infection (assuming you believe masks offer ANY protection to start with).

Maybe Republicans are more apt to Social Distance properly and don't NEED a mask in public?  Maybe Republicans spend more time outside doing outdoors things than Democrats?

Your attempts to assign medical facts to political parties is still a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT tactic.  It focuses on CONTROL of the public versus actual solutions.

Trump was able to push through a working vaccine in less than a year. I don't think that's EVER been accomplished in US history.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, a vaccine is a solution.  A mask is a placebo and a mostly ineffective prophylactic.  85% of people infected with COVID-19 wore masks.

Do you have stats on the actual infection rate by political party?  Just wearing a mask or not doesn't mean shit.

And BTW, INDEPENDENTS wore masks LESS OFTEN THAN REPUBLICANS!!  So, I guess you need to stop using yours as often before someone tags you as a Democrat or Republican!!  LOL!!

How would a corrupt political class use a crisis in order to damage their enemies and push an agenda that serves their interests at the expense of everyone else? Did you not just answer your own question?

Your second point is contradicted by the Swedish experience, which of course is censored on all the big tech platforms along with any evidence that contradicts the approved narrative of said corrupt political class.

That's one of the reasons I have that moron blocked (whom I got exposed to reading your quote...). He spouts ignorant garbage as if fact, when it takes maybe 10 minutes of research to learn that virtually none of the "mitigations" (except targeted intervention and quarantine of the vulnerable population (NOT the healthy)) have any bearing on rates of infection or even death rates to a large or complete extent. There are so many articles, including peer reviewed medical journal articles, complete with easy to read graphs showing that none of the interventions for the general population have any effect at all. This is simple to demonstrate by comparing various countries and locales that used different strategies at different times with no difference in long term outcomes. smh. What a fucking moron.

I don’t understand this statement. How is the intervention making the recovery rate high or higher? I can see the intervention can make the infection rate lower so maybe I don’t understand your definition of intervention?

Not a real weapon like a knife, firearm, rock, etc...It's a figure of speech.  Like the term "Nazi war machine".  This didn't refer to 1 piece of equipment.  But instead a combination of things and many soldiers/police "just following orders".

Race could be a health issue.  Look at gun deaths that involved black on black crimes vs. white on black, asian on white, black on white, etc...

Imaginary weapon?  Like "nuclear emotional attack bomb"?

Or did you mean not tangible?

Then again it could also be weaponized like an actual biological weapon. The timing was excellent for the total re-arrangement of our electoral system, and China seems very pleased with the "results".

Any bets on how long, if ever, the Democrat moron liars here in Hawaii making up unscientific factless "rules" will take to "follow the science" and get onboard with the new CDC guidelines shortening the quarantine period? I bet on "never". Knowing these authoritarian clowns, that's a safe bet. Next choice: May 2021.

The CDC is expected to shorten Covid quarantine time, something most everyone seems to agree on

Dr. Henry Walke, the CDC’s incident manager for Covid-19 response, said the agency is now finalizing those new guidelines to recommend a quarantine period for seven to 10 days with a negative Covid-19 test.

For people who have Covid-19 but are asymptomatic, meaning they never develop symptoms, chances are they will no longer be very contagious after seven to 10 days, Dr. Scott Gottlieb, the former Food and Drug Commissioner, said. The number of people who will contract the infection two weeks after their exposure is also “very small,” he said.

Former CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden, who served under President Barack Obama, told NBC News that the U.S. “needs to optimize quarantine” and that the biggest risk is from four to seven days and then it drops off after that.

Pfizer came prematurely. Released vaccine a week after the election. Also they donate lots to the dnc.

4D chess. Make like a loss and get companies to show their hand. Then win and cannot recall the vaccine.

Trump damaged himself, if he had simply handled covid better, then this crisis would have helped him get re-elected. If democrats caused this crisis to hurt Trump then that was a really risky bet because it was a perfect situation for Trump, problem is Trump fumbled the great hand dealt to him.

Sweden didn't do lockdowns but they did have rules about wearing masks and high rates of mask wearing. Not sure how that says anything about masks not being effective.

What I was getting at was in the aim of not overwhelming medical services. So for example if we had a higher rate of infection then medicines and equipment are going to be less available to patients and without that more people would succumb to covid. Lets say a hospital had 10 ventilators and 10 patients a week for 10 weeks. Now lets say a hospital with 10 ventilators had 100 patients all in one week. Not enough respirators for all the patients who might need them and people who could otherwise be saved would die. Efforts to flatten the curve probably reduced the death rate. I hope I am explaining it adequately so that it makes sense.

The purpose of a political weapon is to elicit an emotional response. They put ridiculous policies in place along with a terror campaign that aggravated the suffering of the American people and then blamed it on Trump. Those who are still gullible enough to listen to mainstream media have been trained not to think about the hypocrites who locked down their cities and destroyed their lives for no reason. I could take it apart point by point but the people who are pushing this narrative are the same ones who want to cancel Thanksgiving for everyone else and then jump on private jets to go see their families. The billionaires are laughing all the way to the bank. This is a classic psy op.
