Tom Woods today:

Is the hospital system "overwhelmed"?

Remember how awful Thanksgiving was supposed to be?

Well, here's what happened in the Midwest:

Was everyone in every single one of those states behaving recklessly, and then suddenly, right at Thanksgiving, they thought better of it?

Or might the virus do its thing no matter what?

Meanwhile, what about hospitalizations? These, too, are supposed to be our fault, as insufferable "health care professionals" lecture us with made-up stories about people whose dying words were supposed to have been, "I thought it was a hoax."

Absolute guarantee nobody ever went to his grave saying those words. If you're going to invent a b.s. story, at least make it plausible.

Yinon Weiss (@yinonw) has dug up the relevant information on current hospitalization trends.

Let's start with what the big picture looks like:

I'll bet most people don't think the chart looks like that.

Now given that the U.S. has 6000+ hospitals, some number of them will experience high occupancy from time to time, as has happened numerous times in the past. The chart above shows the aggregate numbers, which do not appear to be abnormal.

With COVID hospitalizations increasing, though, how can this be?

Weiss explains:

"1. Wide COVID spread means people coming in for non-COVID issues but still count as COVID patients."
"2. COVID patients replacing flu patients."

And hence this:

Finally, what's happening in Los Angeles?

This:

Important to know what last year looked like, isn't it?

This is why decontexualized numbers don't help us. We need to know what's typical. Saying an ICU is 85% occupied sounds scary to people who don't know anything. But they generally have to be at least that occupied for a hospital to stay afloat.

The indoor range that I go to was closed for two weeks because one of the employees tested positive for COVID. This happened 4 days after my last range trip. I quarantined myself just in case I came into contact with that employee. I had no idea which employee it was.

They just reopened a few days ago. Turns out the owner’s daughter had the opportunity to get tested for free and decided to do it. Turns out she had it and didn’t know it. And her newborn (I think 3 months) had it as well. No symptoms for either one. And her husband never got it.

Yup.  Saw this data from a friend who I will just say is very connected into the issue of hospital staffing vs capacity issue.  The "raw" data doesn't appear to follow what much of the media is portraying.  Is hospital readiness serious?  YES, but it's always like that.  It's a failure, or failing of the healthcare industry, and using COVID (or any other reason) to hide their failures.  Why would they hide it one might ask?  I think most critical thinkers will be able to figure out at least a couple of plausible and realistic reasons.

I go back to parallels with 2a and "decontexualized" data.  Ever hear "well, GB and Australia have much lower gun deaths after confiscation"?

Ige announced the quarantine for incoming flyers is now 10 days and not 14 days.  This is good because Mrs. CMO was in Austin for work.

A buddy of mine who works at a mainland indoor range mentioned in the early of the year, most of the staff got super sick. This was before we knew about Corona.  So he's thinking that they all caught it.  It was a cold that they've never experienced before.

I ran across a post from a medical worker who said covid is the only virus that only needs a test to be confirmed.

Most other viruses also consider symptoms in conjunction with restoring.

Texas hospital botches vaccine PR stunt as nurse jabbed with EMPTY SYRINGE, but liberals say pointing it out is ‘anti-vax’
An El Paso, Texas, hospital tried to promote Covid-19 vaccination by turning its first doses into a media event, but the publicity stunt backfired when one of the nurses being inoculated was apparently stuck with an empty syringe.
Video of Tuesday’s vaccinations of five nurses at University Medical Center of El Paso showed the second nurse being jabbed with a needle, but the plunger won’t go down because it’s already at the bottom of the syringe.

The nurse should be fired and never allowed to work as a nurse again.  The other guy if he was in on it, same thing.  I'm gonna assume he was because since he was not vaxxed, he would have to go again and get the real one if he wasn't vaxxed already.  Plus I'm sure someone told him we're gonna stab you with an empty syringe.

Supposedly she took a second "shot" (after the non-shot shot) to prove it was administered ... the second time.

Of course, at what point can we be confident in anything the media publishes -- was that the vaccine, or saline?

No, I didn't think its necessity misinformation. Pictures don't lie but at the same time I am skeptical of anything published by any news org, whether it be ABC, cbs, nbc, fox etc. The dirty Russian thing is more of a reference to the whole bad orange man and dirty Russian fiasco. Do they lie, sure. Do you believe everything out of our government? Sorry, I'm kind of sarcastic.

Just one guy, but he has published a peer-reviewed study on SARS-CoV-2

Research scientist warns coronavirus vaccines have ‘terrible safety record’ historically

Dr. James Lyons-Weiler said that COVID-19 vaccine producers are bypassing industry-standard testing and ignoring basic protocols

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/research-scientist-warns-coronavirus-vaccines-have-terrible-safety-record-historically

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania, December 16, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – A highly credentialed research scientist has called out vaccine producers for failing to implement basic safety standards, warning that “21% of people are having serious adverse events from this vaccine.”

In a speech given to the Pennsylvania Medical Freedom Press Conference on October 20, Dr. James Lyons-Weiler, who holds a Ph.D. in biology, described how the current COVID-19 vaccine being produced by Moderna, amongst others, has not undergone industry-standard testing, ignoring basic protocols.

Lyons-Weiler is President and CEO of The Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge (IPAK) and has his own, peer-reviewed study into COVID-19 related illness and mortality.

Lyons-Weiler asserted during the conference that “historically vaccines for coronaviruses have had a terrible safety record.”

He went on to describe that, in his own peer-reviewed research, “prior to the development of any COVID vaccines, I found that all but one of the proteins in the SARS-CoV-2 virus have what we call unsafe epitopes.” Continuing, he explained that these epitopes are “parts of proteins that are capable of causing immune conditions, autoimmune conditions, and immune responses against proteins in our own body.”
