I'm not a Troll, but as far as I can tell there isn't that much difference in the real
important number, that is the number of deaths per 100,00. they are quite close ( ND 167,  SD 155).
However they are above the national average(97). AFAIK neither state locked down.

https://www.capjournal.com/news/5-states-and-nyc-have-higher-covid-death-rates-than-south-dakota/article_8ca85512-463a-11eb-a0fc-6be4d3b5bc04.html

One difference may be is a summer at Ellsworth AFB was a lot better than a summer at Minot AFB!
Attitude is everything.
A little bit of USAF humor there.

It’s hard to argue with real numbers...
Well, that's assuming there was something resembling an actual "argument" in the logical sense of "argument" ("a coherent series of reasons, statements, or facts intended to support or establish a point of view").

As we all can see, here and everywhere, that is not what is taking place because the Safety Cultists have so little and/or weak evidence that they must tie themselves into rhetorical knots, and/or lie, in order to promote their fear mongering absurdities.

Here we see a woman attempting to use "reason" with some sheeple in Target. That simply can't end well, as we all can see here, day after day after day.

All this hatred is quite ironic as most people in this thread I would argue are religious and religion does the exact same things in the name of religion.  Herd mentality.   Based on beliefs they believe in.  Forcing their beliefs on others.   Ignorance of science, coming to conclusions that benefit them.

I've decided personally to wait till now science is out.  I will still wear a mask and listen to instructions from experts.  Hopefully in the future the science decides what was correct procedure and what was not.   I know there's no harm in me wearing a mask so I will do it.

Different states, different circumstances. Population densities and millions of other variables.  Its not apple to apples comparison.

i love how you use this statement when it goes against your views, but somehow you can lump all the asian countries and new zealand and australia together when it suits what you belive...

Its different im not saying it's possible for us to achieve that because, yes different circumstances.  But it is possible to do.  You can't say all lockdowns don't work if they worked.  The possibility is there.   They all used masks,  they locked down.   They are in a better place than us.  You can't ignore those facts.  They are not the same as us because we are different.   But the realm of controlling covid exists.

The history of science is the study of the development of science, including both the natural and social sciences (the history of the arts and humanities is termed history of scholarship). Science is a body of empirical, theoretical, and practical knowledge about the natural world, produced by scientists who emphasize the observation, explanation, and prediction of real-world phenomena. Historiography of science, in contrast, studies the methods employed by historians of science.
The English word scientist is relatively recent, first coined by William Whewell in the 19th century.[1] Before that, investigators of nature called themselves "natural philosophers". While observations of the natural world have been described since classical antiquity (for example, by Thales and Aristotle), and the scientific method has been employed since the Middle Ages (for example, by Ibn al-Haytham and Roger Bacon), modern science began to develop in the early modern period, and in particular in the scientific revolution of 16th- and 17th-century Europe.[2] Traditionally, historians of science have defined science sufficiently broadly to include those earlier inquiries.[3]
From the 18th through the late 20th century, the history of science, especially of the physical and biological sciences, was often presented as a progressive accumulation of knowledge, in which true theories replaced false beliefs.[4] More recent historical interpretations, such as those of Thomas Kuhn, tend to portray the history of science in terms of competing paradigms or conceptual systems within a wider matrix of intellectual, cultural, economic and political trends. These interpretations, however, have met with opposition for they also portray the history of science as an incoherent system of incommensurable paradigms, not leading to any actual scientific progress but only to the illusion that it has occurred.[5]

Capener’s case is just one of 130 vehicle break-ins and thefts reported within the last week from Dec. 18 to Dec. 24. According to the Honolulu Police Department, there have also been 180 personal property thefts reported during that time.

Of course, having their social masturbation/media sources to give  constant support and affirmation only enables them.  Hmmm, that sounds like someone hereabouts.

No way i could cope with these airheads were I younger and single.  The chick without mask might be interesting at least.

Early on while the vaccines were just talk, Fauci estimated that it would be "fortunate" if any of them turned out to be 60-70% "effective". Now, what would be the percentage of the population that would need to be vaccinated if even 100% got vaccinated at a 60-70% rate of efficacy? Now the vaccines have come in (according to the data supplied by the manufacturers) at 95% and 94% efficacious and Fauci is raising the percentage level of population needed to achieve herd immunity? LOL! That makes no sense at all. It's simple math. Or, he's a liar and/or incompetent. If you listened to the Tom Woods interview with Dr. Battacharya of Stanford, when he was asked how Fauci could make so many erroneous statements contradicting the known science, Battacharya put it as tactfully and diplomatically as he could, but in essence he said Fauci's either uninformed or incompetent or deliberately misinforming people for some reason.

Would it make more sense for him to stick to his original statements even if the data changed just so no one could accuse him of lying?

Where else has he allegedly lied anyway?  And I don't count his original statement about not needing masks as a lie, at least not on the same level because that statement clearly served a greater good purpose.

And if Fauci was clearly such a dishonest man or an idiot, why didn't Trump replace him with someone better? I don't have any loyalty to Fauci but I really haven't seen much from him to seriously doubt anything he is saying. He changed his numbers a bit after many months of time has passed and much more information was discovered? I can give the guy a little room for error, its not like there is an instruction manual for something like this.

It is always entertaining how people are so critical of any lies by someone not in line with Trump but when Trump lie its like watching a yoga class with ways of people finding ways to excuse Trump's lies.

Herd immunity levels are not based on an individual's opinion.

Herd immunity is based on transmission rates.  The higher the rate, the larger a percentage of the population will require immunity, from both natural and manmade immunizations, to achieve herd immunity so the virus has insufficient hosts to maintain its existence.

It's called science.

So the answer to your questions is "Yes!"  Fauci is a liar.  He's also a fool who thought nobody would ever fact check him.  He even admitted it, so I wonder why you'd ever question that FACT.

As time passes and we learn more about covid you expect the data we had on transmission rates to remain exactly the same?

from 60-70% to 90-95% is a 50% increase!

You may be comfortable this this kind of reasoning, but where does one draw the line? Who decides how far to take it, and how would you know if they decided to take it way too far?
Pretending to be offended does not make you a good person.

Someone can make a mistakes and improve over time.... one fuckup doesn't mean he will always fuckup. Not saying he is the best person for this job.  But I don't think he is doing all that bad considering the circumstances.
