Apparently some of the lying moron scum here are still claiming that "cloth face coverings" prevent the transmission of viruses.

I challenge them to present the RCTs (Randomized Controlled Trials) proving that hypothesis.

They won't, because there aren't any.

There are numerous RCTs that conclude that masks of all kinds, not just the "cloth face coverings" DO NOT prevent viral transmission. I've posted several of those above, including the CDC website systematic review of 12 RCTs coming to that very conclusion.

All their "evidence" is garbage hypotheticals based on "modeling", "laboratory analysis", etc. The only "testing" that matters is real world RCTs. Put up or shut up. Like that could happen.

I didn't say they aren't effective, I said they are not as effective. There is a significant difference.

I understand there’s a difference. No need to be condescending, I’m not an idiot. What I’m trying to say is I assume there should be a standard for an “acceptable amount of spread.” If cloth masks are within that standard then they should be ok for everyone including hospital and frontline workers. That is what I meant by either effective or not. Therefore your “ not as effective” statement is irrelevant.

Sorry about the lengthy post, but of course there is no need to read any of it at all... much less the whole thing... I just thought it was "poetic" and just copying the first section wouldn't do it justice...

What People Say When They Wear a Mask in Their Car

By Laurence M. Vance

We’ve all seen it. A man or a woman driving their car with a mask on their face.

As we all know, you can say a great deal about yourself without actually saying anything.

They may not realize it, but here is what people are saying when they wear a face mask while driving their car.

I voted for Joe Biden.

I believe the coronavirus is a deadly disease like smallpox or ebola.

I believe everything the government says about the coronavirus.

I believe that the coronavirus is a public health emergency that only government can deal with.

I believe the coronavirus is like a toxic cloud lingering in the air that could poison me.

I hang on every word of Dr. Fauci.

I believe everything the mainstream news media says about the coronavirus.

I check the latest figures on the worldwide coronavirus infection rates every night.

I am scared to death that I am going to breathe in the coronavirus while I am driving my car.

I no longer use restrooms at stores and restaurants.

I believe that Covid-19 tests are entirely accurate.

I believe in social distancing.

I am very concerned about the rise in coronavirus cases, but ignore the death rate.

I believe that everyone whom the government says died of coronavirus actually died of coronavirus.

I can’t wait to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

I no longer go the church services.

I believe that wearing masks saves lives.

It bothers me when I see employees at stores not wearing their masks properly.

I use hand sanitizer all throughout the day.

I don’t believe anything that conservatives and libertarians say about the coronavirus.

I think that those who dismiss the severity of the coronavirus are conspiracy theorists.

I am going above and beyond any recommendations to keep from catching the coronavirus.

I believe that breathing in fresh air might make me sick.

I support government mask mandates.

I support government lockdowns.

I support the government closing “unessential” businesses.

If I catch the coronavirus, then I might die.

I wear a mask when walking in the park.

I wear a mask when I gas up my car.

I wear a mask when I walk my dog.

I believe that everyone should wear a face mask.

I wear a mask whenever I step out of my front door.

I believe everything the CDC says about the dangers of the coronavirus.

I believe that people who don’t wear masks are endangering themselves and others.

I wear a mask in restaurants while I am ordering my food.

I believe masks work but still want you to wear one so you don’t infect me.

I am so oxygen-deprived from wearing a mask that I forgot to take it off when I got in the car.

I can’t get the coronavirus if I take off my mask while eating and drinking at a restaurant.

I put on my mask to walk to the restroom at a restaurant.

I put on my mask back on at a restaurant as soon as I finish my meal.

I didn’t spend any time with people outside of my immediate family over the holidays.

I believe we are all in this together, but I don’t really know what this means.

In the 3M, P100 manual it says to not store filter in front a fan or window or other circulating area.  I would assume inside a car with AC circulating would be the same because it can spread any contaminates that is in/on the filter.

But these people are wearing cloth mask, so doesn't really matter in that case.

You know these fucking lying asshole Safety Cultists are grasping at straws when the best "evidence" they can provide for mask efficacy is a "study" in which "Those asked to wear a mask were given 50 high-quality surgical face masks with a 98% filtration rate" [i.e. not anything close to patently absurd useless "cloth face coverings" which are what is mandated and worn in the real world] and the results of even that "study" using non-real-world ultra-high-quality masks between the masked and unmasked infection rate was that "the difference observed was not statistically significant".

So their topline quality evidence that "masks work" is that "masks don't work"! You gotta love this shit. They're so fucking stupid!

P.S. No matter how many times you morons post that "study" claiming that it provides evidence that masks work, it will always have the same conclusion: "the difference observed was not statistically significant". It's right there in black and white you dumbshits.

My wife and daughters did the science fair experiment.
They tried to blow out a birthday candle with a mask on and couldn’t do it, therefore it must work.
I asked if they thought about putting the candle on the sides of the mask and asked why my glasses fogged while wearing a mask.
They just replied it proves it lessens risk and travel distance.
