The point is... absurd scientifically-baseless policies enacted by ignoramus lying Safety Cult politicians have resulted in massive amounts of human suffering, costs far greater than the benefits of the scientifically-baseless "mitigation" restrictions...

I did miss the point.
Forgot this thread was about the effect of COVID on public policy.
Missed the forest and replied to trees.

** RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT!! **  ** RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT!! **  ** RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT!! **  ** RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT!! **  ** RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT!! ** Can the victims sue the City & County or State for injuries and damages, since they are responsible for criminals being put back out on the streets before their sentences were up?

Did any of the releases include regular parole check-ins?  You know, like we usually require people released from prison to "participate" in?

Negligence is government's middle name, it seems -- because "No Accountability" is their motto.
Ill bet if this were possible, no one would be released on early parole. Wish we could also apply this to any lawmaker who votes for an unconstitutional bill.

Cumo wants NY to re open,  because they can't withstand a longer lockdown.

All the Republicans are calling him out on it.
When Republicans want to re open they are anti science & want people to die,  but when democrats suggest it, it's praised as the greatest 💡 ever & should of been done a long time ago.

Apparently that's what's been happening on Twitter

Ah, the Safety Cult reigns supreme... still. When did you say that curve would be flattened? That's what I thought.

Who ever thought that people shopping in a store while not wearing a face diaper would merit a video posted to youtube as an act of rebellion and defiance? smh.

Dang.  I don’t like wearing a mask but it ain’t the end of world.  I wouldn’t care if I saw someone without a mask but some people are really worried about covid.

For me, I think those people don’t have empathy for others.

For some, it’s all about themselves.  Anyway, still hope they didn’t catch it or get ill, even if they feel it is nothing to worry about.

Going off on a tangent
It’s now like 1 in 3 have/had covid in California!

For seniors, say 65 and up, because they have more health issues, what are the chances they will die if they get covid? Is it Like 1 in 1000?

What is the estimated time to vaccinate the over 65 people in Hawaii?  End of March?  I understand they are still working out some kinks

Almost as stupid as the rioters taking videos of them committing crimes and uploading it online.  But yeah call it defiance

I agree

Also it depends how quickly they can scale the vaccination and get the doses.  I know Hawaii is behind on its goals.  Hopefully they can still scale up.  Looks promising.

Clearly the United States under Trump and his current policies or lack of is not doing well.  Those include the aversion to masks.
"Those include the aversion to masks."
That maybe due to being forced to sew a "Star of David"
by a past Democrat party government in Germany,
lessons learned.  If you forget those lessons you are doomed
to repeat those mistakes.

Its not about me. its about a govt that forces everyone to perform an act under the veil of safety. They can easily apply this to any of our rights.
I know people who are afraid of guns. They really do believe that a gun in the house, locked up is dangerous. They want guns gone - completely. Why? Because it makes them feel better.
The State's vaccination strategy has "kinks" because they failed to plan when they were notified about the timetable back in the summer of 2020.
Would you give up your guns to make someone feel better? Someone feel safer?

HI is allowing 75 and up and not going by the cdc recomended 65 and up. Tulsi called HI out on this.

Masks are not to a particular race,  belief, gender.  It's universal. Not used to mark people.  There's no correlation.

This is an unfair comparison.  A gun in a responsible persons hands or on its own has a 0 percent chance of hurting someone.     Covid with an asymptomatic or symptomatic can transfer and harm others.  The risk is there.   Where a gun isn't.  There's a reason why we ban drunk drivers. Is that government overreach?   Should drunk drivers have the right to drive?  The chance of you getting hurt is probably pretty low just like covid.
