Wait.  So, if the airlines require negative test results for all crew and passengers to fly, then that pretty much means they should not be throwing people off flights for mask "violations," as we've seen happen the past few months.  People who test negative should not be punished for not wearing masks every second.  If you disagree, then why even require a f-king test?  It accomplishes nothing.

What good is having a test if you still have to wear a mask as if you're contagious?  Forcing mask use AND testing is an admission that the tests are worthless.

So ridiculous.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.

We are going for the trifecta here. Test, mask, and jab. Never can be too safety

Based on my daughters travels back and forth from Texas over the holidays, the airline doesn’t require the test results. The State your entering does or may.
That’s why people can land here without having yet received their results.
The airline requires the mask.
And may soon require your vaccination card or whatever that funny looking semi-upc looking thing is on a smartphone.

And the State already requires numerous vaccinations for kids entering schools, whether private or public.
“ Immunizations:
Immunizations required for school attendance:

DTaP/DTP/Td (diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis)
Polio
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
Hepatitis B
Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) (for preschool attendance)
Varicella (chickenpox)

All immunizations must meet minimum age and interval requirements between vaccine doses.“

https://health.hawaii.gov/docd/vaccines-immunizations/school-health-requirements/sy-19-20/

So it’s not unheard of in certain realms.

But this is going way too far.
Restricted jobs, travel, public place access, etc.
what, homeless can’t live on the street or in parks without smartphone proof of vaccination ?

And the whole smartphone thing makes it even more fawked up.

This is the establishment of the equivalent of the Chinese Communist Party "social credit score", by which "privileges" (travel, access, etc.) are dispensed or withheld based upon level of "compliance".

This was obvious from the very beginning to anyone with a functioning brain. When government threatens fines/imprisonment if citizens don't "comply" with completely irrational diktats having no scientific-evidence-based justification, what else could it be?

The Safety Cult is the huge sad collection of the stupid and the ignorant acting out perfectly the role of "useful idiots".

Yup with a few caveats. They should include those who got proof they were infected and recovered.  We know that leaves a decent amount of immunity too.   And there should be no tracking from the "app".  Looks like it's just a fancy vaccine form like the ones I needed to go to school.  Medical records are nothing new, not sure why everyone is freaking out.  Kaiser and other hospitals have their own apps like this for patient care... and like aiea not sure why it has to be a smartphone.  Website is good too for those without phones.   Also I think it shouldn't be required for public places.  Private companies are free to have any requirements as is their right.

you still do not understand PCR tests and cycle threshold and false positivity
a positive test does not mean you were "infected" and when you clear a nebulous "quarantine" you are not "recovered"

companies are not allowed to require vaccinations for employment while they are under emergency use authorization
yet you may need a vaccine armband to be able to fly within a month or two...

Never said employment.  As I understand that is emergency use.  Until it's out of that then it can be.  But more of use of private property.  Aka planes and services.

Wrong.

That article compares infections between front-line health-care workers and the general community, NOT "essential workers" as I stated -- Home Depot, McDonald's, Safeway. etc.

Naturally, healthcare workers coming into contact with infected COVID patients will be contracting the disease at a higher rate than those working in other services and industries.

Fair enough, essential workers and front line health care workers are not the same thing.
"essential worker" appears to be a bit more complicated thing to study though, it isn't exactly a universal designation.

You can bet the rate is no different if you want. Did some more searching and I cannot find any article saying one thing or another. Though they say about 75% of all jobs are essential.

Is there a fine line between the government physically confining people and telling them to stay home and if they don't then arresting them for not staying home?

The government hasn't been arresting people merely for not staying home though. For people in the 14 day quarantine they have. Now if they force someone to quarantine when they had a negative test then that is a violation of rights in my opinion.

So this is the part where you accuse others of exactly what you are doing?

You know that is a leftist tactic yeah?

I sidestepped nothing. If I missed a question please point it out and I will answer it.

You never answered the issue I raised though. Can the government never take away someone's rights due to a contagious illness, no matter how virulent and dangerous?

You don't have to "study" anything other than the Hawaii Covid-19 Emergency Order and all the revisions from Muppet Governor Ige.
