Here's a "doctor", some people's only qualified category of person who is allowed to make knowledgeable statements about THE VIRUS!!!, with a new preventive substance, already in clinical trials. She recommends it. She's a doctor.

Israeli behind ‘game-changing’ Covid nasal spray says it’s 99.9% effective

Gilly Regev says her 'hand sanitiser for the nose' is inexpensive and can be distributed to poorer countries to stop the spread of the virus

The Israeli co-founder of a nasal spray that kills 99.9% of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19, has told Jewish News that she believes the spray will be a game changer in the fight against Covid-19.

Dr Gilly Regev, who co-founded SaNOtize Research and Development Corp. based in Vancouver, Canada explained via telephone that “If you use it daily, I really believe you won’t be affected by Covid-19. We have shown in the clinical trials that the people who used it did not get infected.”

The first UK clinical trials for The SaNOtize Nitric Oxide Nasal Spray (NONS) begins this week.

NONS is designed to kill the virus in the upper airways, preventing it from incubating and spreading to the lungs.

Additional studies in rodents with COVID-19 infection showed over 95% reduction within the first day after infection. It is currently undergoing Phase II clinical trials throughout Canada approved by Health Canada, and in other countries.

“We have shown in animals that we can reduce the virus in the nose so I think we have all the science and the data to support this in humans,” says Regev.

Though this is the first trial they have done for early treatment, she is confident that it will prove its efficacy on humans.

Lab tests on the SaNOtize treatment at Utah State University’s Antiviral Research Institute confirmed that the company’s Nitric Oxide Releasing Solution inactivated more than 99.9% of SARs-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, within two minutes.

...

For Regev, that is the ultimate goal. She hopes that after the trial, the spray will be available to purchase over the counter by anyone “as there is no risk”.

“It will be pretty inexpensive”, Regev adds, “because our goal is that everyone can use it and so eventually, we can get it to some of the third world countries and be able to help with the spread of the disease there.”

She says they are already doing work in countries like Malaysia, “to help those that cannot afford vaccines or some of the more expensive treatment.”

Candidate Joe Biden:

THE BIDEN PLAN TO COMBAT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Quote
Biden believes we must spend whatever it takes, without delay, to meet public health needs
and deal with the mounting economic consequences. The federal government must act swiftly
and aggressively to help protect and support our families, small businesses, first responders
and caregivers essential to help us face this challenge, those who are most vulnerable to health
and economic impacts, and our broader communities – not to blame others or bail out corporations.

Public health emergencies require disciplined, trustworthy leadership grounded in science. In a
moment of crisis, leadership requires listening to experts and communicating credible information
to the American public. We must move boldly, smartly, and swiftly. Biden knows how to mount an
effective crisis response and elevate the voices of scientists, public health experts, and first responders.

He helped lead the Obama-Biden Administration’s effective response to the 2009 H1N1 pandemic and
the 2014 Ebola epidemic. Biden also helped lead the response to the greatest economic crisis since
the Great Depression and ran point on implementation of the Recovery Act.

President* Joe Biden:

Quote
"If we fail to act, there will be a wave of evictions and foreclosures in the coming months
as this pandemic rages on, because there's nothing we can do to change the trajectory of
the pandemic in the next several months," Biden said.

The idea that nothing will change the pandemic drew confusion and ire from figures in politics
and the media.

"Haven't we been told for months that restrictions and mandates were necessary to change
the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months?" former Michigan Rep. Justin Amash,
a libertarian, tweeted.

Early on almost every country used the HCQ stack for treatment for months. Japan was 1 that didn't.  Daniel Dae Kim got it and felt better the next day. Same with Tom and Rita Hanks. So HCQ is effective, but it's been political because pharma can't make as much money on it since many companies make it.  Instead they want to make a new product that they hold a patent to and can control.  We will never know how many people could have been saved if not for politics.  And how many people spread the virus in NV due to their governors order to not allow it to be consumed outside of a hospital.  Which means a sick person who needs HCQ would have to driver, uber, bus to the hospital for their dosage.

The link you posted is garbage and so will any link that pretty much has the line "fact check" in it.  Not only for HCQ topics, but pretty much anything Trump related.  I first began to doubt "fact check" sites when I had a question on 2 Hawaiian topics. This was maybe 7 years ago or so.  After asking kupuna, Hawaiian history majors/teachers, I found that twice fact check was wrong about the 2 separate topics.

Defining words for you is like trying to give a steak to someone without teeth.

Nobody has time to help you gather and assimilate something as simple as defining a common English term.

Fauci is completely deeply involved in the "gain of function" research with corona viruses both in the U.S. and then as transferred to the Wuhan Virology Lab (aka bioweapons lab).

Also memes can be a joke and still serious.  Or just serious.

The nature of big pharma makes it ripe for conspiracy theories whether they are true or not. Would they have a reason to lie? Yes, but we can't immediately discount it all just because of that.

Problem with anecdotes is they don't really give us accurate pictures. All we hear is Daneil Dae Kim took HCQ and got better the next day but we don't know any of the other aspects involved. I have heard of people whose cancer miraculously went away without doing anything but I am not going to use that tactic if I get cancer. What matters is larger studies because that gives us a more accurate picture. As far as I understand, only one study actually found evidence it helped but the other studies were unable to replicate the results. This is not to say that we shouldn't look at it further or that it cannot help but absent more evidence I wouldn't tout it as a cure or effective treatment.

It looks more like HCQ became political and people are lining up along political lines about it. How many people who are touting HCQ actually read all the studies and how many are doing so just because Trump praised it? (And yes a similar but opposite criticism can be made on the other side)

I posted many links. One was a "fact check" article but another was an actual medical paper. Not sure how you conclude that is garbage?

Big pharma is responsible for the Hillbilly Heroin epidemic as well as regularly suppressing cheaper alternatives in favor of novel super expensive designer drugs with horrible side effects. They deserve all the scrutiny in the world.

Big Pharma, the Gov't and Health Insurers have all been colluding since I was born at least to take as much money as they can from whomever can pay and use it to (a) make themselves rich, (2) make their stockholders rich, and (3) produce new and even more expensive treatments to replace the ones that have lost their patent protections.  Once a generic hits the market, the profitability of "cash cow" treatments evaporates quickly.

Insurance companies don't like to pay for these treatment costs, but they do make money investing in new drugs and procedures.  That's how insurers have the money to cover all their customers.  They invest most of the premiums they collect to create revenue streams that feed the system.  It's ironic that an insurance company might complain about the high cost of insulin, but at the same time could be investing in insulin manufacturing companies -- benefitting from a personal and corporate financial perspective.

If you want to blame anyone for the high cost of treatment, blame unethical lawyers and lawmakers that turned suing doctors into a cottage industry.  I agree that responsibility must be enforced, but the fraud and abuse of the civil legal system is crazy in that industry.

I posted an article days ago about the proposal to wear more than one mask at a time... as an example of moronic stupidity (especially since the science is clear that cloth masks don't prevent viral transmission). Well, if it's stupid, and it's wrong, and it's about THE VIRUS!!!, you can bet Fauci is not far behind. Here he jumps on the multiple mask bandwagon... but in this article only mentions wearing two masks. If it's really "common sense" that more than one mask is better, what is the upper limit of how many masks makes "common sense" as better protection (3? 5? 17?)? That would seem to me to be the second question any reporter would ask after the first: "What actual peer-reviewed randomized controlled- trial evidence do you have that multiple masks are "more effective" than a single mask?"

But no, just another "common sense" anecdote from Fauci (who Steve Bannon succinctly labels "a liar and moron" for all the lies and wrong predictions by Fauci).

https://www.dailywire.com/news/double-up-dr-fauci-again-changes-mask-wearing-recommendation

DOUBLE UP: Dr. Fauci Again Changes Mask-Wearing Recommendation

To wear two masks "makes common sense that it likely would be more effective"

Dr. Anthony Fauci, who early in the pandemic said Americans need not wear masks, has once again changed his recommendation.

Fauci, an immunologist and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who served on President Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force and is now President Biden’s chief medical adviser on COVID-19, now says wearing two masks is likely more effective than wearing one.

“If you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on it; just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective,” Fauci told NBC News on Monday.

Back in March, Fauci said “there’s no reason to be walking around with a mask.”

“When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is,” the doctor said on CBS News.
