Sometimes I wonder if some folks on here don't have friends period.  Or if they interact the way they do with people in person.

My humor is more military E-4 type.  So lots of homo erotic type and very not PC either.  So sometimes I have to turn it down cause I can see friends not understanding.  Glad the wife has the exact same type of humor.  So matchy matchy.

The sign of someone who never attended church and didn't have a suitable substitute to learn life lessons.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.'

Translation:  If you stopped being a dick, maybe the others would, too.

Someone has to be the bigger man/woman/non-binary/sentient being.  If all you do is react to others, you'll never be any better than they are.

But, you already know more than the rest of us, so I don't expect you to "get it."
I did just that for several months. I asked him nicely a couple of times to quit quoting me. I thought it would be a nice gesture if we just ignored each other. I told him that way we can coexist on the forum without interacting. And for a couple of weeks, as many lies as he told and all the BS he tried to push down our throats I said nothing to him while Flapp and others pointed out his lies. Not one word from me. I thought he would appreciate it. And for a short period he did not quote me. Then he quoted me, insulting me and I spent the next month or two letting him quote me and insult me and show a lack of respect without responding at all. Then one day I asked him again to stop, complaining he was trying to start shit with me and he would not stop quoting me. So I spent the next month or two blasting him for a day or two each time he quoted me. Then stopping until he quoted me and insulting me again giving him a chance to think about if he wanted to get blasted each time he did this to me. In every instance I did not start it. I waited until he started it before I put him on blast. And apparently he enjoyed being shown to be the liar he is because I pointed out his lies every time. Then a couple of weeks went by and he did not quote me. I honestly thought he got the idea that it would be better if we just did not interact. But here recently he quoted me again several times with insults and lies so I figured he is fair game and I just decided not to hold back any more.

As far as I am concerned he starts the fight, he wants the fight so now I am not waiting for him to start it any more. I’m going to do what I want. If he is not going to show me respect, I won’t do it either. I would be happy to stop. But at this point he needs to either PM me so we can hash this out or he just needs to stop and not say anything to me until I figure out he has stopped. However long that takes. Because as many times as he started something by not showing me respect I doubt he has the ability and control and desire to stop. JMHO

As someone who trolls the trolls, I get where you are coming from.  However, it always seems that no matter who I engage -- EEF, AH, OG -- I'm the one who's told to stop feeding the troll.  I guess it's obvious that the trolls can't help themselves, so it's up to us to stop following them off the rails when they hijack threads.

In a perfect world, we'd have mods to stop the constant immature confrontational posts of the trolls and idiots (redundant?).  Since we don't, the food fights are inevitable.

I look at other forums, and the mods there actually warn, then suspend, then ban, the trolls and argumentative thread hijackers.  It lets the rest of the members continue on with their discussion without the posts going off the deep end trying to stop the offenders themselves.

Oh well. Maybe one day ...

Doing that is what got hitler into power.  Spreading lies till no one bothered to resist.  Trump was on that path.   If Inspector/ others didn't post fake news I would ignore him as he wishes.   But because he still says unproven claims are facts,  I will continue to quote him to say he is wrong.
I have no goals to be better than "They are".  You can't always take the high ground.

Resist?

Says the person who claims other people commenting here MAKE YOU POST!!

And you're wrong.  You can always take the high ground.  That's exactly how values and principles work.

Google those two terms.  I bet they men something other than what you think they mean.

If no one resists lies people begin to see them as truth.

Guess I don't have those "values and principles".
A bit rich when you and others don't practice them all the time either.   There comes a point in time you give up.  The effort isn't worth the reward/ end result. Freedom/Truth is one of the principles I try live off of and would override the ideals of respect. I got no respect for spreaders of falsehoods.

If all you have to refute what you believe are lies are emotions, feelings, misunderstandings, and BS you learned from the MSM, you're in no position to challenge anyone.

Your lack of direct knowledge and experience should dictate you listen and read more than you speak and write.

You look foolish when you try to challenge other people's OPINIONS with your own OPINIONS.  Nobody here is trying to force anyone else to follow them.  Why do you think you can/should?

Yeah, but that's not it.  I have many good friends with humor like that, many former military, including jarheads.  All good.  Just because someone swears, is not PC, etc doesn't mean anything.  It's more about realizing what is acceptable behavior socially.  Yeah, some people just get along, but there are many out there who don't get along with say 98% of people and wonder why the world hates them. . .

LOL!  Says the idiot who thinks "truth" is "whatever a judge says it is."

If you see me steal your laptop, but you can't prove what you say you witnessed in court, does that mean the "truth" is "I never stole your laptop?"

Because my opinions on the election and in general are based in facts and general accepted information.  Oh and the COURT.   Just cause "MSM" said it doesn't automatically make it false.

If you trust the MSM to tell the truth, you haven't paid an iota of attention.

And repeating yourself in every other post is not enhancing the validity of your so-called facts.

The general consensus of all news media reports something, even if that includes MSM.  Its probably true.  The fact courts also agree, basically solidifies fact.
