I read somewhere that ICU is full because those are the only places capable of holding people with contagious disease. I’d like to know what percentage of the people in ICU are there  because of COVID and who is there because they tested positive but are hospitalized for other reasons.

In general the states with less vaccines are the areas seeing the largest amount of covid.

are1

verb
second person singular present and first, second, third person plural present of be.

I am clearly talking about the present.  If wasn't I would say were.

Data isnt really about the recent surge...

Also there are southern states with less infections.

According to the hawaiicovid19.com website, the ICU's are not full.  But that's general numbers state wide.  So it could be 1 hospital may be full.  It doesn't break it down by location.

There's some good info on the site, even incoming travelers. Avg about 32K a day. And it breaks it down by airport arrivals.  LA is #1 at about 8K a day.  Vegas is at 1K and is ranked #8 or so.  But need to know that many airlines don't have a direct flight to/from Vegas. Hawaiian and Omniair are the 2.  Others have a layover, so that LA number could include Vegas travelers.  But also many locals use Hawaiian, so who really knows.  IDK if Vacations Hawaii is running again, they use Omniair.

I recall reading/hearing that as well.  I think it depends on the hospital and their protocol.  A cousin is (or was before she left for her honeymoon) a nurse in a hospital in OR that handles the infectious (COVID and other conditions).  They initially used ICU rooms to isolate, but they've moved beyond that.  For her ward, it was like what you would see in the movie Outbreak.  But since then, the PPE for nurses were upgraded/updated, where they were able to have a section for the "special cases", but not ICU.

I also read stats where something like less than 20% of the ICU on Oahu were for COVID.  They also don't provide details on other conditions.  I mean I don't expect that information to be readily available, but like gun "stats", believe that there's a lot of room to twist the data to serve a narrative.

Click on ICU beds/ventilators. It shows the number with covid and without.  So as of today, get plenty room for those 2.  But I'm sure there is a few days lag. I remember seeing the normal occupancy for ICU beds is 75% pre covid.  Correct if wrong.

Book direct flight to Vegas, then they change and land in LA.  Then tell you the flight is now going to Vegas. Then they stop in Portland.  Then Seattle.  Then finally Vegas and offer no apology.

You wrong. . .

Nah, nah.

I'm def no hospital expert.  Just going off what I saw when close family were in ICU.  There can be a number of reasons why someone remains in ICU that isn't directly related to condition.  Some technicalities on condition.  Some that the "upper level" beds aren't available.  My dad was in ICU longer than "needed", but there were other ICU beds open, the area where he was supposed to transition to was full, his condition was "technically" still for ICU but discretion, yadda yadda yadda.  At least what we were told.  Who knows what the truth is.  Anyways, my point is just looking at the numbers, folks can draw any number of conclusions to fit a narrative.  Just like analysis of gun data.

yup go get more shots and create more variants. maybe they will name one after you.

Please read this if you do not understand the point that it is the vaccinated that will drive evolution of vaccine escape mutants.  Ergo- select for escape.

Funny how all the variants came from the same places they were doing extensive clinical trials (UK, SA, Brazil, India)...

LOL India, where the main variant that is currently spreading came from mass infections of the unvaccinated.  Most people in India were not vaccinated when the variant was created...

Nice shitty science there.   Doesn't even take into account the increased overall spread because the new variants are more infectious obviously they will create more variants the more they infect...

Perhaps if there was some way to have everyone vaccinated so the virus isn't able to spread efficiently at all...but nope....

Once again dummy didnt bother to read who the owner of the account publishing that data is, literally THE vaccine scientist the US DOD has gone to for decades.  Keep trusting MSNBC instead of the Science.
