So if someone goes into the ER and is critical.   A blood transfusion can save their life.  But instead they tell the doctor that they don't want one and will take their chances.  For X reason.  The doctor will stress the importance and tell the person they might die.  But will they force the transfusion after being told no or having a DNR on file?
