Hey Aiea just wanted to say that was not personally directed at you. I'm just as guilty of seeking relief in comfortable illusions that "someone is in control".

Usually it manifests in one of two ways: clinging to the belief that our benevolent overlords will figure something out, or that an evil cabal has ensnared the entire planet.

They both seek certainty in order to deny the existence of chaos in the universe.

Admitting that the elites who are driving the ship are completely incompetent is simply too terrifying an idea for most people to handle.
