Whoopi Goldberg stunned by testing positive for COVID:

"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg described being shocked Wednesday when she
learned she tested positive for coronavirus during the show's break for the Christmas
and New Year holidays.
During a remote appearance on the program while isolating at home, Goldberg declared
that she was surprised when she received the positive test result because, according to
her, she had been taking every necessary precaution to avoid contracting the virus.
"I left a couple of weeks ago, just before the break, because somebody I had been around
tested positive for coronavirus, so I left. So I've been gone a long time, I feel," Goldberg said.
"And I was all excited and, you know, they have to test us, and so they sent people to test
me, and they tested me, and it was like, ‘Oh no you’re not coming back. We’re not sending
anybody to your house. You have corona.’ And it was like, wait what?" she added.
Goldberg stated that her shock came from the fact that she was fully vaccinated, had received
the vaccine booster shot and hadn't gone anywhere other than her house or "done anything."
"But that’s the thing about the omicron, you just don’t know where it is. You don’t know where it
is, who’s got it, who’s passing it," she said.
"It’s one of those things where you think I’ve done everything I was supposed to do. Yeah, it doesn’t
stop omicron, and that’s the problem with a variant, because it gets stronger and does different stuff
to you, so, you know, unless everybody gets vaccinated this is what we’re going to be facing for
the next, you know, little while," Goldberg added.

Unless everybody gets the vaccine, this is what we are going to be facing?
She GOT the vaccine AND the booster. She isolated as much as possible, and yet she still got infected.
How the flying F--K would the vaccine administered to 100% of the population stop the spread when the vaccine didn't stop it in her case?

How the hell will getting everyone being vaccinated stop Omicron if people who are vaccinated (like Whoopi) can be infected and spread it?
This is the same excuse Communists use for why it never worked, and why gun control fanatics think gun control will still work: Because it only works if EVERYBODY is onboard! Somehow, the results will be different if we can just get 100% participation. Any dissension or refusal to be part of the system causes it to not work somehow.

The only time I've intentionally watched anything with her in it the past 10 years was the remake of Stephen King's
The Stand. What an absolute disaster of a mini-series! The original with Gary Sinise was poorly produced with the videography and editing lacking, but it followed the book very closely, and the cast was great. Somehow, casting Whoopi as a servant of God just didn't seem to be a smart choice.
Add that acting endeavor to the list of things she's failed at -- right on top of thinking the government could not have given her a false sense of security when trying to avoid COVID.
