Im surprised no laws for  food establishments to wear mask/spit shield. This is common in Taiwan chain restaurants, even precovid. They had a spit shield that covers up to the nose only. Pretty cool.

Yeah good point. There's no way to know for sure what happened in this case, but it definitely fits a pattern.

Who knows, but even during peak Omnicron, Vegas's daily new cases was less than Hawaii.  The only thing Vegas required was mask.  Other than that, open 100%.

Sad story

My cousin and her husband are vaxxed, but their 8 year old isn't.  Her sister is having a baby soon and she was told that they cannot visit her unless their 6 year old gets vaxxed.  She was looking forward to being that cool aunty.

Both her and their child thinks they both had covid at the end of 2019.  Both had the worst cold they've even had.  The CDC even called his school to find out if he received the flu test or other test.  At the time, she thought it was odd.  About 12 kids and the teacher in his class all had the same illness. Which normally, even during flu season, only 2 or 3 kids are out at the same time.  Not 12.

Flu season?

I thought that was obsolete, at least it used to be a big deal, now it is invisible and unmentioned.

Chinese virus eliminate it?

Hawaii's DOE is dumb. They are for expiring Title 42 but keep masks on for kids. Are we in a pandemic or aren't we?

Mask for kids only effective if all are wearing them.

If i got 3 polio vaccines and still got polio, i would be asking questions.

So HI's 7 day avg is about 480.  Clark County (Vegas) is about 190. 

HI has 1.4million people
Clark County 2.2 million

IMO, it's the multi generational households.  You can thank law makers for keeping HI so expensive that 8 people have to live under 1 roof.

ICU and ventilators looks like down 85% of what it used to be and hospitalizations are also way down. I don't remember that #.

So more contagious maybe, but less severe.  I say maybe because we lifted mask and vaxx passports.  So no way of knowing if it's that or the new strain or both.  But while we had our vaxx passports and mask, Vegas was still lower than HI's daily during peak Omni at the end of last year.  Vegas only required mask. So food for thought.

Both couples are vaccinated and according to my daughter, one couple wore masks when out and about on their trip, while the other couple did not.

The couple that wore masks contracted covid while the couple that didn't wear masks did not.

And in the same timeline my sister-in-law traveled to Vegas with her girlfriends to gamble and to golf.  My sister-in-law is vaccinated but likes to wear a mask when out and about.

Guess, just guess what my sister-in-law contracted while in Vegas.

And during peak omni, vegas's # was way less than HI's. We travelled twice to vegas during peak omni and came back neg each time (work required a test after traveling).

Just to be clear cause someone here thought VAERS was a disease, it's not.

There was a reason why the MRNA tech never made it to human trials...death in animals.
