Bonshaker Boneyard Warhammer.  strong smoke, taste was ok.  for a strong smoke I like the taste of the Partagas Black better.  but sometimes good to smoke something different just for variety

I've given up cigars for the most part.  Will still have one (or two) on New Years eve, but have stopped otherwise.  But I have had that Makers 46 and it's pretty good.   ;D

I'm enjoying a midnight snack of peanuts and beer with a La Cuna bin3.
Pretty good for a small batch cigar.

My top 2 brands are Henry Clay and Punch
Henry Clay was my 1st cigar that I bought a whole box.  its a great burning, great tasting cigar.  not too strong
Punch are well constructed.  can't go wrong with a Punch.  I usually go with the regular Punch or Rothchild.
these 3 cigars are nothing fancy, just real consistent, old school cigars

next on my list are Partagas, Hoyo de Monterey, Montecristo, H. Upman.  but I'm willing to try anything

Surely you can't go wrong with any of the older established brand names.
But they are overpriced nowadays.
I got that La Cuna as a part of a mystery bundle. Some were junk but most were pretty good.
The last Punch cigar I had was great but that sucker knocked me on my ass.
An old brand that I admire is La Gloria Cubana. They are generally rated 90+.
I just got some La Perla that were pretty good.
The best cigar I've had recently was a Cuban Partagas. It was about as perfect as perfect gets.
The most disappointing cigar I've had recently was a Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey. It was beautiful but tasted green.
That box is going into deep storage for a few years.
A nice quickie smoke are Drew Estate cigarillos. My fav is the Acid Red, but they are hard to find nowadays.
Apparently other people discovered them too so they are rare now.
What, Me Worry?

lately I've been getting more expensive cigars.  not super expensive but more than what i usually get
my reasoning is, get more expensive better cigars. that way I smoke less, instead of cheaper and more cigars and i smoke more
same way with Bourbon lately.  more quality, less quantity

I usually order from JR Cigars.  I'll look at what they have on sale first.  sometimes I can't make up my mind and get one of their sampler packages and get a bunch of different cigars, maybe something i never smoked before

I love a good Maduro wrapper too.
About 30 years ago we used to get boxes of Arturo Fuentes 858 Maduro pretty cheap.
It was a perennial favorite.
