Seen this on YouTube, in MA where AR pistols are considered "assault weapons"

Our law's definition of assault pistol is pretty explicit.  You should read it as well as the many threads on this forum discussing this very topic.

And yet nobody in HPD will tell you where you have to weld the magazine in, but they tell people they have to. The argument of detachable vs removable... the tires on my car are removable, but not detachable. Same can be said for the brains of the law makers and enforcers in Hawaii

It's not about the science (never was).  It's about control and enforcement.  Just like gun control (aka people control).
