No...Independents pick anyone that we like regardless of party they are in.
For the 50th time, you keep saying this, but the FACT IS "Independent" candidates rarely win locally, and will probably never win the Presidency ever.
Bernie Sanders is a SOCIALIST who identifies in Congress as an Independent (I). He caucuses with the Democrats (Socialists of a feather...), and he had to sign an agreement that, if he won the Democrat nomination for the presidential race, he would have to switch his party affiliation to Democrat (D).
So, you keep saying you're voting for whoever you want. You can do that even if you register (D) or (R). Failing to commit doesn't make you any more Independent than me or others in this state. Dems can vote for Trump, and Reps can vote for Biden. All you're really doing is fixing it so you can't vote in the primaries.
Independent? More like "scared of making a poor choice."
