The gun ban in England is just pistols or even long guns? To my understanding Australia is a total ban (pistols/long gun).

Australia allows handguns, but the requirements are strict and include participation in a recognized sporting event.

Google "Australia gun" and you'll find lots of useful stuff....

Almost all guns are banned in the England, but since the ban, take a look at their rate of knife crimes. They do still have shootings too.

don't forget japan.  i think guns are completely banned in japan except for the police the national guard and government officials.

Long guns can be possessed after licensing and are generally licensed to hunters. Handguns are generally restricted to police and military
