Agree or disagree, just my opinion. Individuals are generally smart. As a group the sheep mentality tends to take over. Hope we don't end up with a bunch of trigger happy sheep.

....Could there have been a different outcome if there was a movie going CCW?

Imagine that guy walking into a movie on ccw night.
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

The state of Colorado would saved hundreds of man hours in wasted court time, if that happened.

Good for them.  Waking up to the fact that the police are not there to protect, persons have to be resposible to protect themselves.

Heard on a AM talk show.

Caller : We need to take away the guns from the people. They dont need them.
They can always call 911 and the police will be there in a few minutes.

Radio Host: what if they on strike?

Caller: (silent)

Morons like that need to get into a MMA or boxing ring and see just how long three to five minutes *really* is in a fight.  I think they might come away with a better understanding of the phrase "time is relative", and some grasp of why even an outstanding response time of less than ten minutes is entirely too long.

Even just a 3 minute match seems like forever for sure!  Doesn't help if you're out ot shape too.   :(

I didn't read the article linked, but the article that I did read on the subject indicated that many of the local CCW and handgun safety classes are booked up for weeks with people seeking training.  Whether it's existing gun owners getting new guns or new gun owners, that they are all seeking training is great.  Some positive that can come from such a sad event.

I think the single largest nail in the coffin for me with regards to this was the Tupuola murder.  Ex-con ex-boyfriend, TRO, shotgun, beat to death............literally seconds away from the Kailua station.  No one able to save her.  60 year old former Marine was clubbed unconcious/unable to help.

Such a sad story, but one that illustrates this point.
