I wanted to get my mini30 threaded, I’ve seen a few options to ship it to a smith online but I wonder if we got one here on Oahu that can do the job.

There is JHP Arms but I’ve heard that he retired but not sure if he has. I’ll pm his number....

Wayne with Precision Custom Rifles is another option.  He has a bit of lead time as he's always busy, but has always done great work for me.

During this time ik supporting local is a great thing to do. But unfortunately with gunsmithing, there are just too many top notch builders whove done 100x the volume of any local smith and have great reputations around the country. Plus with the extended lead times of a few smiths here it just makes it impractical and not worth the risk.

Just a short list of gunsmiths ive used. All have superb customet service. Sent off a stock to be inletted from bdl to m5 aics by LRI and was received back in around 17 days.

Should start a thread on custom rifle work.  I was looking at Area 419 for a few things.

I have had several conversations with this shop. http://www.ptengineeringllc.com/  they do some gun work, including barrel threading.
