Why on earth would they not cover fake news? The horror.  That guy got discredited many times from my quick googling.

Though I woulda preferred them to make an article on that.   Also this is why we got many sources of news.

"would of"?  Really?  Did you not learn just a day or two ago that a similar word is a contraction of the word plus "have".  in this case, it would be "would have" or "would've".

OMG!  Dumb isn't strong enough to describe ...

Did you watch his interview?  I doubt it.  Did you know he handed over several devices with texts, documents and emails with EVIDENCE and spent hours talking to the FBI?

Of course not.  If you had to Google him, you have no idea what's real and what's fake.

The MSM and big tech are actively calling anything bad for the Bidens conspiracy theories, fake news, and the people coming forward as liars and Trumpers trying to help him win the election.

One day you might start to bitch less about English and more about substance.  Never said I was ever close to English major.

As for your "facts" he did give all of that.  Did that turn into anything?  Any charges?  Anything the FBI did with the "info".  No.  It  many of it was debunked online.  And even if it wasn't clearly the justice system didn't do anything with this "evidence".  The justice system is impartial.  Hell its literally run by Trumps people right now.  Much like your "mass fraud".   Perhaps its just not good enough to even prosecute.  AKA fakenews.  Barr said it, and Trump just fired him cause he wasn't parroting fakenews that makes Trumpy happy.

Maybe one of these days you'll demonstrate you can learn by getting the easy stuff right -- i.e. grammar and spelling and basic vocabulary.  Then maybe you can learn the harder stuff, like content.

It doesn't take a college degree to know how to properly use 7th grade English skills.

The investigation into Hunter, Jim and Joe is still ongoing. The investigation started into Joe and Jim in part due to the evidence provided by Tony. The fact that Tony came out before the election and CNN refuses to report on him at all just shows the cover up. If what he say has been debunked then why is it not ion their website? Its because they have something to hide. If CNN has nothing to hide it is their duty to report on it even if it has been debunked.

Tony’s evidence is why Jim and Joe are now part of the investigation. There cannot be a real debunking of evidence provided by Tony if it has not been released yet as the FBI would not release the evidence based on the fact it is still an ongoing investigation. All we have is Tony’s statement which, if true will be backed up by his evidence which has not been seen by the public yet. The only “debunking” I have seen are the lies by the main stream media. Which, based on the fact that they don’t have the evidence from Tony to debunk his statement, all they can do is lie about it to protect the Biden family. Which they are doing. Something that cannot be refuted is the fact that before the election when the investigation was ongoing all of us here, with the exception of the pissant, knew the names of the informants and have seen all the evidence over a year ago that started the investigation into Hunter BEFORE Tony provided his evidence. The main stream media said it was all a conspiracy and was not real. Now, after the election they admit they know there has been an ongoing investigation. Lies by omission are worse than flat out lies. They kept quiet as to protect their candidate during the election. They in effect, affected the election by not reporting the truth while it was happening. The reason why the pissant doesn’t know what is truly happening is because he doesn’t know where to look for the evidence. All he knows is mainstream media and Google. Which are all lying to him. But accepts the lies as being okay. He doesn’t know who the real players are in keeping the transparency of the government in the forefront where we can see what is really happening.

None of this can be refuted as all the emails and letters and recordings and evidence (Not Tony’s evidence) that had been coming out for over a year is all available on the Internet if one wants to find it. And the investigation by the FBI started several months ago using that evidence. Then we have the evidence provided by Tony which we don’t know yet what is in all of it since no one has seen it. That has now caused the expansion of the investigation into Joe and Jim. If Tony’s evidence has truly been debunked then there is no reason for the FBI to expand their investigation into Jim and Joe based on Tony’s evidence. See what is really happening here.

If anyone here wants to see the truth for themselves you can go to the Judicial Watch website and search for Hunter Biden. They have been making FOIA requests and lawsuits on behalf of the people of the US to uncover all the FBI documents and emails as far back as 2019. All of us here (except the pissant) know who all the major players and informants names are. As well as knowing Joe’s involvement. The emails and other evidence all go back to Biden being in the WH as Vice President. I have seen and read all of the evidence from back during the Obama years. There is an overwhelming amount of it. If you take the time to read it for yourself you will see that it cannot be debunked. Except by lies. If all of us here, except the pissant, know all of this a year ago, then how can the main stream media say it never happened until after the election? Where do you think the main stream media goes to get their FOIA requested documents? Judicial Watch. They know what has been going on as long as the rest of us have. The FBI documents prove it all. All one has to do is read them or watch their videos to understand.

Due to the possibility that Biden might still become president, Trump should assign a special council to the investigation so if Biden gets in he cannot fire the FBI director and stop the investigation into himself, his brother and his son. Also, he has already stated that assistant director Wray will stay on which is now a conflict of interest. More proof of the NYT lies in the Hunter Biden Case:

This article is from the Media Research Center. They are the citizens watchdog for the media. Similar how the ACLJ and Judicial Watch are the watchdog for the Federal Government. Here is another great example of how the main stream media lies when they do cover the Hunter Biden investigation and how they lie by NOT covering the Hunter Biden investigation. There is also a good video showing how they manipulate the truth in the article. So open the article and watch the video:

https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/rich-noyes/2020/12/15/wheres-hunter-biden-scandal-still-awol-network-news

Two months ago, the liberal media assisted Joe Biden’s presidential campaign by essentially ignoring the financial scandal surrounding Biden’s son, Hunter, and aggressively dismissing it as likely Russian propaganda.

Now that an FBI investigation into Hunter Biden for potential money laundering and tax fraud has been confirmed, the media aren’t bothering to call it Russian propaganda anymore — but they’re still pretty much ignoring the story.

Last Wednesday, December 9, Hunter Biden himself revealed that he was under investigation by the FBI. In the six days since then (through the morning of December 15), ABC’s morning and evening news (Good Morning America and World News Tonight) have given the story a grand total of just 97 seconds. CBS This Morning and the CBS Evening News have given the scandal slightly more attention (3 minutes, 4 seconds), while NBC’s Today and Nightly News allotted 4 minutes, 54 seconds to the story.

Add it all up, and that’s only 9 minutes, 35 seconds of airtime over 41 hours of network news programming. Even though the media now know there’s a real federal investigation about potentially serious crimes by the next President’s son, the broadcast networks aren’t any more interested than they were last fall, when they doled out a scant 21 minutes of (mostly dismissive) coverage over nearly two weeks.

And nowhere in the current round of coverage is there any suggestion that either the Biden campaign or their liberal media echo chamber were flat-out wrong in October when they scorned the story as a Russian trick. “Experts say it has all the hallmarks of information laundering and all the headaches of 2016,” CBS’s Nancy Cordes sighed on the October 15 Evening News.

Four days later on NBC’s Today, NBC analyst Jeremy Bash similarly instructed viewers to dismiss the story: “This whole operation looks right out of the Kremlin playbook, hack and dump.”

That’s also the angle CBS’s Norah O’Donnell took with Joe Biden himself, when on the October 25 60 Minutes she suggested the whole thing was a plot: “Do you believe the recent leak of material allegedly from Hunter’s computer is part of a Russian disinformation campaign?”

The liberal media’s refusal to properly cover this story before the election (as well as the censorship supplied by Big Tech) probably tipped the election to Biden. A poll of 1,750 Biden voters in seven swing states, conducted by The Polling Company, found nearly half (45.1%) were unaware of Hunter Biden’s financial scandal; if they had known, enough would have abandoned the Democratic candidate to flip Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to Trump, giving the President a 311 electoral vote victory.

Soviet Politics, American Style
A propagandistic press, the crushing of academic freedom and the shattering of family loyalties.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/soviet-politics-american-style-11608658685

On Christmas Day 1991, Mikhail Gorbachev, president of the Soviet Union, gave his farewell speech and more than seven decades of Russian revolutionary socialism came to an end. A generation later, the spirit of the Soviet Union has re-emerged with mass support in the U.S.

When I arrived in Moscow in 1976 to begin a six-year stint as a correspondent, I was struck by the red flags flying from government buildings and the somber streets devoid of advertising except for garish posters showing workers with clenched fists demanding an end to the arms race.

When the Soviet Union fell, it seemed the Soviet attempt to impose a deluded version of reality had died with it. Francis Fukuyama, in his 1989 essay “The End of History,” said that Marxism-Leninism was doomed as an alternative to liberal democracy. I argued at the time that the drive to make a religion out of politics had not disappeared.

For the past four years, potted histories have warned about the rise of fascism in the U.S. But the real danger is the transformation of “tolerance” into an ideology with its own courts, informers and punishments, all of them reminiscent of the Soviet Union.

One of the pillars of the Soviet Union was a controlled press in which all coverage was organized to confirm a mendacious ideology.

A friend of mine in Moscow, Vladimir Fyodorov, went to work for the TASS news service, which offered readers not news but a “correct” depiction of events, especially regarding the U.S. and the “ulcers of capitalism”—racism, crime and unemployment.

On his first day at TASS, Vladimir was handed a United Press International story about a U.S. company that was promoting a high-quality tire and offered to replace older tires free of charge. Vladimir wanted to kill the story but his boss rewrote it. The new version read: “In the crafty capitalist market, firms frequently offer low-quality products. This is why a well-known American firm was forced to replace tires that were of inferior quality.” The headline was “Deception of Buyer.”

A few weeks later, Vladimir was given a report that prisons in Fiji were so comfortable that people preferred to stay there than to be at liberty. He produced a report that life in Fiji was so unbearable that people preferred to live in prison. His colleagues congratulated him. He told himself: “I’m going to go out of my mind here.”

Soviet practices would have once been unthinkable in the U.S. media. But in August 2016, Jim Rutenberg, media columnist for the New York Times, wrote that if journalists believed that Mr. Trump was a “demagogue playing to the nation’s worst racist and nationalist tendencies,” it was necessary to “throw out the textbook of American journalism.” The Times started to characterize Mr. Trump’s statements as “lies” in news stories and suppress news that worked to Mr. Trump’s advantage, such as the Hunter Biden story this fall.

The Times also advanced an ideological account of U.S. history, according to which the American Revolution was undertaken to defend slavery, and promoted it over the objections of historians and the paper’s own fact-checkers.

The Soviet system also relied on the complete liquidation of academic freedom. Marxism-Leninism was treated as a perfect science. But the ideology raised obvious questions: In a “classless society,” why were there special stores for officials? If socialism ended war, why did the Soviet Union and China go to war in 1969 over Damansky Island?

If a student tried to raise these questions, he was expelled from the Komsomol, the communist youth league. That ended any hope of a career. I knew a young man in Moscow who refused to be intimidated and continued to ask questions. He was committed to a mental hospital.

The Soviet style has become a reality in the U.S. Speakers are routinely canceled on ideological grounds: In July the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbour, Maine, canceled a virtual talk with Leonard Leo of the Federalist Society because of “the moment of reckoning our society is going through.” At my alma mater, the University of Chicago, the English department announced that it would “only accept applicants interested in working in and with Black Studies.”

The Soviet Union finally counted on the readiness of people to betray even family and friends. The regime held up Pavel Morozov (1918-32) as a martyr. He lived in a village in the Urals when the regime was collectivizing agriculture. When Pavel learned that his father was helping peasants hide grain, he walked 35 miles to the nearest town to report him to the secret police. His father was arrested and Pavel was stabbed to death by relatives.

I thought of Pavel Morozov when I read a June op-ed in the New York Times by Chad Sanders, a black writer. He told his white friends that he didn’t need their “love texts” and suggested that instead they cut off contact with family members until they sent money to Black Lives Matter or joined their protests.

When Mr. Gorbachev began the reforms that destroyed the Soviet Union, he said, referring to the U.S.: “We’re going to do something terrible to you. We’re going to deprive you of an enemy.” Twenty-nine years later, it’s clear he was right. Without the ideological challenge of the Soviet Union, we have become immersed in internal conflicts and have made an ideology out of them.

It is true that Marxism is a more coherent system of thought than “wokeism.” But even an intellectual hodgepodge can engender totalitarian habits if it fulfills an emotional need and becomes a device of interpretation.

The antidote is fidelity to higher values. But that requires a moral seriousness that a world at peace and in thrall to superficialities does not inspire. “The West does not know and does not want to know what shaped it,” writes Cardinal Robert Sarah, a Guinean prelate. “This self-asphyxiation leads to new barbaric civilizations.”

The Soviet Union is dead, but its ghost wanders an unsettled world. Finding a lodestar for society’s moral development is the most important challenge facing the U.S. today.

Mr. Satter is author of “Age of Delirium: the Decline and Fall of the Soviet Union” and a member of the academic advisory board of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

Exactly. No one can deny the lying media’s roll in the attempt to fundamentally change our republic to socialism. Their agenda and hubris in this is stunning. Any sane and intelligent person would never listen to them. What does that say for almost half of the US population tho?

[YUUUUUUGE SNIP!]

Being deprived of an enemy didn't last long, as Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein took that role.  Unfortunately (and fortunately), as evil and inventive as they and Al Qaeda were, they were not a nuclear super-power capable of destroying the US.  Bush took the fight to their land, once again insulating the US mainland from the death and destruction every war creates.

North Korea has been the only nation to try and threaten the US (ignoring the constant "death to America" chants from Iran), and we see how Trump turned that into a win-win.  Unless and until China commits an undeniable act of war, they will not become the military enemy that the USSR had.

So, I agree with the premise that a foreign enemy takes focus away from domestic problems.  However, to say the breakup of the Soviet Union DEPRIVED the US of an enemy is not correct.  For 4 years, RUSSIA!! has been held up as the biggest threat to the US.

As long as the media exaggerates and becomes hysterical over whichever foreign power is the devil of the day, we will not be lacking in that department.  Real or imagined, either type of enemy will be sufficient as long as the media and politicians work together to draft the narrative.
