The problem is, not all courts are fair and just, especially in these lawsuits where there's no jury -- only an appointed judge.

The cost in time and money to even bring these challenges are AFTER THE FACT in most cases, or take so long to get a ruling that the harm is irreversible. 

What's NJ going to do?  Calculate how much income and investment profits were wasted on lockdowns and pay them back?  Double up on the curriculum so students are able to catch up with where they ought to be in school grade-wise?  Let undergrads skip their freshman years and graduate with 3/4 the required number of college credits?

Sometimes, there is no way to make the injured party whole again, nor predict how that harm will snowball into further injury throughout their lives.
