The point is to cause enough pain and suffering that people will beg our billionaire overlords to take away our freedom. Total dependence on the corporate state. Communism.

To what end? Thats an even more silly conspiracy theory than the one I came up with?

To what end? Communism.    Conspiracy?  Not really.  That's been their stated goal for some time now.  They haven't even been hiding it.

Contrary to what many Americans are led to believe, the goal was never communism, as the ultrawealthy was not about to abolish the free-market or private property, as what true communism demands.  The goal was Neo-Feudalism, where the corporate oligarchs would own everything, capitalistically only compete with each other, but the rest of the citizenry would be varying wage slaves labor, who would be dependent on the land and the means of production that the corporate oligarchs would almost totally control.

Larry Ellison, the de-facto ruler, of his Kingdom in Lanai, is a perfect example, of what are the ultrawealthy elite's real long-term plans for America.  They see the US empire, as one-day being a nation state composed of various corporate-led fiefdoms, with a free-flowing and never ending supply of cheap domestic and immigrant labor that are forever economically dependent and financially in-debt to them.  However, unlike the feudal systems in the past, there is no more unexplored territory, for the masses to lay claim and break free, from the shackles, of those US imperial oligarchs.

It's the bigger picture.  I suggest you join the Hawaii Quarantine Kapu Breakers FB group and read what the Karens want and how they react to non mask wearers. They also praise countries that have not as much freedoms as us like New Zealand, Australia, England, etc...You know the ones that put people in camps and arrest you for making a statement about Islam on FB.  These people do not understand the Constitution at all.

Things like the 1st amendment, the right to assemble.  Due to CV, many places cannot gather or limit how many can gather peacefully.  And the excuse is CV.  If a right can end because of X pandemic, then to remove more rights, they will just create another reason.

I am pointing out the silliness of his reasoning. I figured that would be obvious to someone as smart as you.

So instead we abandon covid regulations in the name of freedoms at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives?

If I get ebola should I be allowed to walk around conducting my life as normal in the name of not being a communist?

If you had Ebola and were walking around, I'd shoot you.
This flu is NOT Ebola.
This has been proven, Asymptomatic people cannot transmit the flu.
So no masks or shut down necessary.
If you are sick, stay home. otherwise leave everybody else alone!
Because of my military background, I'd almost have to be dead before I
call in sick and go to the doctor. but in the civilian world, that attitude
has to change.  Your job isn't that serious or essential.

The flu is not ebola? True, but the flu is not covid either. Not even sure why you are bringing up the flu here.

If we had a populace of people who would all take due care in pandemic situations we wouldn't need any regulations, but thats not the case, we have a lot of idiots in this country.

You can't simultaneously claim these regulations are unconstitutional yet want to shoot me if I were walking around with ebola. Contrary to this insane idea that the constitution makes any and all pandemic regulations illegal, I don't get to walk around spreading a dangerous disease "because freedom". I suspect you understand this since you implied that you would shoot me if I was walking around with ebola, therefore we must acknowledge some level of authority to place some level of restriction

You're not "pointing out" shit. You're (as you typically do) misrepresenting and hyperbolically distorting the statements of another person in order to contradict an argument they never made. It's pure bullshit. It's what you do. You're a lying disingenuous sack of shit. I figured that would be obvious to someone as stupid as you.

For those too fucking dumb and/or disingenuously lying their asses off, here is a brief video portion of an interview by Dan Bongino. In the segment with Devin Nunes he (Nunes) briefly outlines that states have curfews and "rules" stating when you can and cannot leave your home, for what reasons, and who may or may not enter your home. Yet you fucking moron Safety Cultists see no correlation with any sort of tyranny or denial of rights or freedoms. I'd write that "you can't be that dumb", but I know you are. Those states with such draconian usurpations of rights and liberty have no better, and frequently much worse, outcomes re THE VIRUS!!!

Should we ban trans fats and force everyone to exercise daily under threat of fines/imprisonment? Heart disease kills half a million people every year. Perfectly preventable by your logic.

I did not imply
"that you would shoot me if I was walking around with ebola"
I said I'd shoot, just like I'd shoot a rabid animal.
Covin is a flu. You city people may wrap yourselves around the Axel
but I,  still, hug, shake hands, and do life as normal.
It is no more deadly than a yearly FLU!
I'm 65 and I'm not going to give up my freedom
for your "Safe zone" theories, at this at this point in life.
I repudiate the authority of government. I also recognize that
government is a necessary evil, but like any poison it needs to be
taken in small doses.

yes to freedom.

What you just carefully typed says if you have Ebola.  Not if you might have Ebola and screw everyone else who doesn't have it by closing their businesses and restricting their freedoms as healthy individuals.  And what is Ebola's mortality rate vs. Covid?

Quote
Data from the World Health Organization (WHO), shows that the chances of dying from Ebola
virus infection are about 50-percent, with variations between 25 to 90-percent, depending on
the strain and the origin of the outbreak.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

There you go. 50% vs 0.03%.

Omg you are so selfish! You must hate old sick people and want them to die (slightly sooner)!

How about you try debating with a little more logic and a lot less emotion. We can talk when you wish to stop being an ass.

There is an argument to be made there (not one which I support) but it is substantially different than what what I posed.

Plus, you didn't answer my question at all. Should I be allowed to walk around freely if I had (or reasonably believed to have) ebola?
