He might as well.  He got the recent weather forecast wrong.

Again.....
Mauka showers in the morning, clearing up in the afternoon.

That has a better than 75% chance of being correct any given day here.  That confidence level is WAY higher than politicians. . . ;D

MSM reported the NG people being excluded "had ties" to groups that made them "suspect".

So, no actual evidence they were threats, just guilt by PERCEIVED association.

No innocent until proven guilty?  They have a working pre-crime program online already?

"General note on inauguration day:
The hard left calling for a "9/11 type commission" (you know, justification for a shooting war) over 1/6, while openly talking about forcing conservatives into concentration... er, reeducation camps, absolutely ensures, without question, that compliance with any pending gun control will be zero.
In fact, such action is likely to remove compliance with any existing gun control. And well... probably any existing law at all.
I mean, why not?  If your future is a cattle-car and a concentration camp, or most or all of your life in prison, they've removed any deterrence short of death for "illegal actions."
And shit, what point is there to "life" if it's in a camp?
This rhetoric out of the hard left is VERY dangerous.  They are threatening to remove all the barriers to violence.  And I don't mean burning trashcans - violence.
Interesting times and whatnot."
Would one expect anything less?

Here's the fun question.

What is the so-called Republican leadership's official response, to this threat that is directed to about half, of the American population?

The military has regulations that require the leadership to allow individual members to exercise their right to participate in political activities, as long as they don't affiliate with groups that advocate overthrow of the government or Constitution.  They must not wear their uniform of otherwise bring their military position into the conversation or event.  They can't be representing the military while publicly expressing their political viewpoints.

In today's social media environment, I fear it's now enough to declare someone affiliated or a "sympathizer" with subversive groups if you share a Tweet or FB post you happen to like that was posted by a member of one of those groups -- even if the post itself was not controversial.

This is one reason I no longer participate on most SM sites.  People are being accused of EVERYTHING based on posts made years ago -- often in jest.  Not worth it.

I know you know better, but you continue to call out the GOP as if they are somehow not the same as the Democrats.

The majority of the GOP was against Trump until they saw a chance to piggyback on his populist successes.  They are still mostly Swamp critters.

Whatever the GOP leadership's official response is or is not should not matter to anyone.  They say whatever they think will placate the most voters.  For the most part, voters have the memory of a goldfish.  Nothing the GOP or Dems ever say further than a few weeks before an election ever matters.

Actually, as I watched the inauguration, I was thinking:  Where the f*ck is all the 20,000 Guardsmen?

All the wide view shots only showed the 3rd Division "Old Guard"  active military in dress uniform and contingents of the active Navy, Marines, and Air Force.  All in dress uniform.  Tons of Capitol Police and the usual Secret Service.

There was a shot of about 20 Guardsmen for a few seconds......

I appreciate the military and all but as a TAXPAYER I want to know where the hell they were, dammit!!  :grrr:

Apologies Flapp, I throw such questions periodically because there are still some hooked on the Red Team vs Blue Team mentality, rather than understanding that the whole system is corrupt to the core.  It does not matter what party is in office; Trump notwithstanding, they will pit the masses against each other, thereby, screwing everyone over.

I know you and the senior members, on this forum, know this already, but there may be some younglings that need help to reach nirvana.

Should start a betting pool on when the last troops will be withdrawn. Definitely won't be another Afghanistan. Washganistan?

Texas & AZ pulled their troops out and said they won't send any next time after a bunch of them got kicked out of the capital right after inauguration and were sleeping in a parking structure.

All of this after their publicity stunt of "soldiers sleeping on the ground"

The Battalion commander from Hawaii mentioned that the Hawaii guardsmen had hotel rooms.

He also mentioned that at times the reporting of soldiers "sleeping on the ground" were either misinformation or exaggeration.  Many times those huge clusters of soldiers were "standing down" while awaiting orders.  It's just a transitional stage.  When they are in this mode the soldiers will be grateful to just lie back and catch some Z's because when the mission order comes, sleep is the last thing on the priority list.

Anyone who served in the military, especially front line units, know that saying "hurry up and wait".
