Buying crypto in hawaii

Anyone know how to do this? I quick google search shows me that it’s not illegal to buy but places like “coinbase” can’t operate here. So how do you do it? I was thinking about using my brothers address in California to start a coinbase account but is that illegal?

Old school.  Meet a guy and do the transaction in the parking lot haha.  Theres other ways but high chance of scam.  Though i must warn you don't base your decision on fomo.  Make sure you really want to invest.

Beginning Aug 2020, 12 Crypto companies have announced they will start operating in Hawaii.  They can operate without needing a money transmitter license for 2 years.

The companies are:

Apex Crypto,
Bitflyer USA,
Blockfi,
Cex.io,
Cloud Nalu,
Coinme,
Erisx,
Flexa,
Gemini Exchange,
Novi Financial,
River Financial, and
Robinhood Crypto.

Quote
They have been admitted to the state’s Digital Currency Innovation Lab (DCIL), a program
that “allows digital currency issuers to do business in Hawaii without obtaining a state money
transmitter license,” the program’s website reads. This regulatory sandbox is in partnership
with the Hawaii Division of Financial Institutions (DFI).

The program, which runs from Aug. 19 to Dec. 31, 2022, accepted applications from
cryptocurrency companies between March 17 and May 1. A total of 19 companies applied;
12 companies, including several crypto exchanges, fulfilled the conditions of the program and
have been admitted.

People wont know theyre scammed until they try and sell it.

Got a friend who had a few coins at 1500. He just sold 1.

Also knew 2 guys from the gym who were "brokers", only to not know they thrmselves were being part of the scam. Havent seen either  since.
