I'd have trouble with all the names,
but play a song and I can match the face.
But I was always more of a rock and roll guy.
I still think the Who is the best rock and roll
band of all time.
Best country was Patsy Cline.
Best Classical Wagner

What I find depressing is how few really talented singers and musicians there are in the business today compared to the 60s, 70s and 80s.

There are one or two, but not near the massive number there used to be. 

Name a band that's recent and records original songs today that you predict will still be touring and recording 30+ years from now.

Music is subjective.  Everyone's taste is different.  But, there's no mistaking talent vs. marketing.
