If NRA loses in court and I suspect with the cherry picked judges it will lose.
GOA, RKABA, et at, may be able to pick-up the pieces.  Despite the rot
at the top, NRA has a pretty good foundation.  Over 5 million of us.

To use surfboards as an example, a little over a decade ago the company Clark Foam shut down and there was nobody else making blanks because they had destroyed the competition and created a monopoly. People panicked but it was not long until other companies started popping up and filling the void. There were some bad batches and learning curves, but now we have the strongest lightest blanks ever built in a vast variety of shapes with options that were never available before because of the monopoly and stranglehold on innovation. The NRA betrayed its membership in order to use us as their cash cattle. They will survive if they restructure and ditch WLP, but if they do not then I have every confidence in the other organizations who have a far more impressive bang-for-buck approach including our local organizations who have been instrumental in holding back the flood gates of bad policy these past few years.
The problem governments are trying to solve is the existence of your freedom.

Competition would be great and need more support at the local levels.  However it would take a very long time for others to catch up, if ever.  The NRA took 150 years to get to where they are now.  There's also a lot of other areas that the other national orgs don't do, or are extremely limited like lobbying congress, training law enforcement, youth programs, hunting programs, promoting guns to the general public.

Another problem is competition is sometimes a bad thing when you can't build unity.  Lots of orgs and shooting disciplines don't like each other, but usually NRA serves as a unifying force.

The Liberals want a gun free America.  They will still promote free individual thinking but now they can tell the masses what to do and when to do it.

They won't be afraid of us anymore.  The only one with guns will be their goons.

When we aren't able to defend ourselves and our property is damaged, burned and our loved ones hurt or God forbid killed, the Libtards will say they did their best and their goons weren't able to get there in time.

Then they will send a sympathy card.  You know the ones, the mass produced generic card where you fill in the "Dear ______" part.

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

One of the great things about the NRA is just what a boogieman it is to the liberals.

Right up there with Fox News, which has been destroyed and neutered from what I read about their collapse.

No matter what we feel the NRA is still a great organization. Sure they f’d up a lot recently but us members are also at fault. We should have demanded that the money sucking S.O.B.s be shit canned as well as any others that supported the (do you hear me Willis Lee?). They need to purge WLP from the org quickly with a good swift kick in the ass and take his ass to court to recoup all the money he spent on his luxurious suits and lord knows what else and don’t stop there since there are others. I donated $500 per year for the last 10 years for the betterment of the NRA, their programs and their fight with the DC swamp scumbags. I’ll still support the NRA but no money until they prove that they will use our money for the good of the shooting sports.🤔

I voted every year for Directors.
One thing I never had done was write and ask if they thought WLP
was the best thing for the NRA. as it shows WLP is a Gun toting Biden.
I accept that as my failure to question, the "authority"
We will survive.

Unfortunately some directors resigned in disgust, resulting in it being harder to oust WLP now.

I agree with the editorial from the ACLU.  It's not the role of the state to police non-profits for anything outside of criminal behavior.

It's up to the membership to get rid of anyone lining their own pockets with organizational funds.  If the board is legitimizing fraud or theft, at the very least, vote them out.

If that isn't possible, then everyone can just stop giving them money.  That puts a stop to these scams pretty fast.

Letting politicians, especially those who oppose what a non-profit stands for, disband these organizations is about as shortsighted as anything could be.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I would agree too. It just seems funny the ACLU defending the NRA.

In the distant past, the real ACLU would defend the free speech rights of the KKK based on principle instead of what was said.
