US Senate HR 127
« on: January 28, 2021, 10:47:13 AM »
The bill, if passed, will require all firearms owners to be required to have a federal license to own a firearm. The process they want to require would require a psychologist to interview the applicant, their spouse, and at least two people who have lived with the applicant before approval.  It also is an attempt to essentially label any semi automatic pistol or rifle as a “military style firearm” rather than “assault weapon” and require a separate special license for those.

The bill also includes a requirement for all firearms to be registered with the US attorney general and then said registration list be made available to the general public with names, addresses, types of firearms, etc.

It also requires that you must maintain a certain level of liability insurance for each firearm and if you don’t your firearms will be confiscated and you will have to pay a large fine and go to jail for a minimum of 10 years.

Lastly they put in it an outright federal ban of any magazine that is or can be made capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition.

Not to be offensive but HR is a house bill.
Not senate.

Sorry it was on the senate website. Either way it’s still a major infringement on the second amendment.

I think at this point most 2A guys aren't all that interested in what is "legal"
since this has become so subjective in the Democrat run government.

For DC related bills, you would have to write to your DC rep (Schatz, Hirono, Kahele, Case) and have them vote no.  But it will fall on deaf ears, all are anti 2a.

Yes. Knowing the effort is futile deters most people from even trying.

But that gives the elected officials ammunition to use against us.

"There's been no outpouring of support for your position, so I'm going to assume the majority is okay with my stance on guns.  Until I see evidence that most people in my constituency disagree with me, I'm going to press on."

That's why the CCW application drives were done.  It deprives the state of the argument that people aren't interested in CCW based on low application attempts.

Even though it's a waste of time in that the outcome of that issue is predetermined, it at least tells the elitists we exist and deserve to be acknowledged.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

In free states that currently have no registration,  I believe
most people are not going to comply. There is no way for
LEOs to know who has what.

For the patriots fighting for the American Republic.

Not for the US empire.  That is exactly what the ultrawealthy wanted, an unarmed populace that could get exploited like cattle, not fight back, and no where to run.

We do not need an armed revolution. If enough gun owners all decided to go take their money out of the bank at the same time it would crash the financial system.
