Dwayne here! Moved here about a year and a half ago to Makakilo. I've carried CCW since i was old enough to do so, miss having my "wallet" since I moved here. Agree that CCW SHOULD be instated here, I've seen and heard some things since moving here that make me want to have my 1911 (or Glock 23, or Walther, or XDM, or, or, or....) in my waistband. I've seen a couple of signatures on this website that convinced me this was the place to hang out.... one about avoidance at all costs, and another about calling 1911. I think I'm in good company here!

Hello everyone,

Born and raised here and relatively new to the firearms community.  Despite being interested my entire life, I only started shooting this January and have been hooked ever since  (I did air riflery in highschool but I don't think that counts ).  Been lurking for a couple months already and look forward to swapping knowledge with you all and hope to help out as much as time will allow

John in Honolulu. Moved here about 4 years ago from L.A. Recently got into shooting. Purchased my first two guns this past Saturday from Young Guns, a SIG 1911-22 and a SIG P250c 9mm. I think this is the longest 14 days of my life!

There must be lots of new gun owners out there, or a lot of "us" have bought or sold some guns lately. I had some business at HPD Monday and as I left the building I had to pass the fireams/records sections. This was at about 1130 and the line for the firearms section literally went out the door! I don't know if it was the "newbies" or something else, but I liked it!
