Hi Guys,

New to shooting. Purchased my first handgun for my 22nd birthday in the beginning of 2020 right before the whole COVID-19 mess. On the rare occasion that I have time to go shoot I’m usually at the silhouette side on sundays. Just look for the short filipino boy with the orange ammo can who doesn’t look like he knows what he's doing  , I would love some tips & advice from experienced shooters.

I have been a long time gun owner, since 1994, but I went into hibernation mode after my first child was born (more than 15 years ago).  I didn't really keep track of what was going on locally or nationally on gun laws.  I woke up around Feb 2021.  The landscape changed a lot.  Magazine laws, caliber laws, carry conceal laws, registration laws, laws that aren't laws but are enforced like laws aka "we will redefine what a gun is so it fits an existing law".  I have decide to get back into the battle, bought some new guns, started to restock my ammo stash (ammo is a mess.  US wide shortage.  $1 a round ammo.  WTFO?), and wrote my first testimonial to ATF Proposal 2021R-08.

BTW, love this board.  It is helping me get back into the battle quickly.  Very smart 2A supporters.

Welcome. I feel you. I've been out of the shooting part of 2A for about 8-10 years myself due to kids and COVID. Kids now both HS grads and working jobs/doing college. Now it's time for me to get back to the fun part of it starting this month. It may be slow because of ammo though. Hope to meet you out there soon.

Looking forward to the move, not looking forward to the draconian laws in place. Then again, I am moving from MA which has nearly as bad laws in place.

If anyone is looking to restore any rifles between 1840 and 1960, send me a note, I'll let you know what I can and cannot do.

Hi,
I got an email from big daddy unlimited this morning saying the US Congress House is looking at an Assault Rifle Ban and 15 round magazine limit. H.R. 1808
I Immediately called Kai Kahele's office and left a message that I oppose the bill. I also sent a message through his website kahele.house.gov
Please get the message out and encourage everyone to do the same.
This is the message I sent.

I think I saw that you are a co-sponsor.
Do not take away the freedom of law abiding to buy and own any type of firearm they happen to like or take interest in. These laws only affect me and the millions of Americans in the MAJORITY, who are law abiding citizens, that already follow and abide by the already too strict gun laws. More laws won't have any effect on criminals who already disregard any and all gun laws past, present and future.
I ask that you reconsider and vote against HR 1808 and any and all future attempts to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of the MAJORITY, of law abiding citizens.

Read all of HRS134.  We have diff laws than the mainland. Like you cannot go to the gun range and stop to pick up Starbucks or even pick up a friend.  You must go straight from your home to the range and back.

All arriving guns must also be registered with the police. They cannot be unregistered if you leave to move back to the mainland.
