Hello, I'm from NJ.  I've been in Hawaii 9 months and I love to shoot.  I hope that all states can stop blaming inanimate objects for violence and uphold the second amendment.

Hey guys, I'm Alaskana. Just relocated 3 months ago to the big island. (Hilo side). I'm debating opening a tactical/reloading shop over here if interest is around.

Anyone on ar15.com knows north polar from the hometown forum.

Aloha, been on Oahu 5 years but didn't discover 2aHawaii until recently. Glad to see some avid 2A enthusiasts in this beautiful state.
I cast & reload, have shot IHMSA/PPC/IDPA but not for some time.

I am presently considering a move to Hilo and am concerned about bringing my guns with me.  I presently shoot every week including CMP hi power matchs,  3 gun,  Bowling pin shoots,  Trap, Skeet,  and am an avid hunter harvesting everything from pigs to Elk.   Why shouod I go to Hawaii were there are no gun ranges,     Can someone give me some good news about gun ownership in Hawaii?

Don't know of any CMP stuff on the BI, but on Oahu we have a small club that is doing CMP, NRA, service and match rifle XTC stuff, and also mid range F-Class.

lurker here since the beginning :p  NRA Endowment member and (I'm thinking one of the very few?) HRA Life members.  Mostly just like to shoot by myself, until we get some real classes here.  Sure miss the Waikiki night sessions.  Esp. when no tourists on range.  C'mon Carter, get us going

Hello I'm Stephen and will be relocating there shortly. I am an Armed Security Officer where I currently live and will be going into the same field there as well. I see HI has the 10 rd max limit on mags and I am curious weither I am covered or not with 15 rd mags (duty sidearm is Glock model 22).

spc15t, HRS 134-11 has a list of people exempt form the 10rd limit. Sadly, armed security officers aren't on that list as far as I know.

You can get those in 10 round magazines is the good news. The bad news, you now only get to use 9-10 rounds  :-[
