What's to say what a assult weapon is?  Can't a 10/22 with a drum mag and High velocity rounds do serious damage....or a short stroked lever action gun?   Congress is stupid in how broad they make things.

The way I figure, we should ban together as gun owners and vote down as much of this social media stupidity as we can.
