She took unfair advantage.  Five robbers versus granny + six rounds.  Seven against five is not fair.

Just look at those poor boys trying to get away.  Why, one of them could have hurt themselves and not been able to attend his Bible Study class after school or sing in the church choir next Sunday.

Would've been even more unfair if she had one of those deadly 7-rd pistols, making it 8 to 5.

Or, OMG!, if she had a ten-round handgun!

I condemn this old lady for not fighting a fair fight.

There.  I said it and I ain't takin' it back.

Flame suit on.

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

You have stuff people want. They are willing to take it. What are you supposed to defend your property with? plastic butter knife? child safety scissors? butterfly's and rainbows?
God, guns, and guts made America. Let's keep all three!

lol

In this state she would have been in deep doodoo.

She should have called the police, waited 10-30min for them to arrive, given the bad guys anthing they wanted(including her life).
That way when the authorities get there it would be an easy task to collect the evidence and clean up the scene.

Must be getting dangerous for those choir boys in Orange county.  Here's another one from almost exactly a year ago, where two choir boys were killed:

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/people-305823-shopping-robbery.html

Quote
Investigators interviewed two employees after the robbery, Doan said, as they looked into the circumstances that led to the shooting.
"What caused them to believe they should fire?" Doan said. "Was that person in fear of their life or someone else being injured?"
In addition to the jewelry store's main entrance, security doors controlled by employees were in place, Doan said. A bullet shattered one of the outside glass doors.
Police are investigating whether the three men were tied to three other jewelry robberies in Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel in recent months.
"There are some similarities, but there are also distinct differences," Doan said.

I don't know how you feel about it, but it seems to me that if guys come in waving guns around and demand your goods, there is an ipso-facto "or else" involved, and your life or those of others is automatically in danger and it is automatically not a mere property crime, especially since some of them do not like to leave witnesses.

I hear what you are saying. In the cases of LA and OC the same perps seem to keep coming back to the same place if it was easy to rob. I have read that some store owners complain that the police can't stop these same criminals that keep hitting the easy target. So for me the point is to make it difficult on the perps and they won't do a repeat which would endanger your life and customer lives more if not stopped. So I believe it is he responsibility of the store owner to make the place as safe as possible over the long haul rather than the one incident. JMHO
SCIENCE THAT CAN’T BE QUESTIONED IS PROPAGANDA!!!
