Anyone know if hpd may stop making online appts and go back to walk ins?

Appointments going to keep going until other government agencies open to the public.  When you see schools, unemployment office, social security, and other offices open to the public, that's when HPD will make changes.  So don't hold your breath.

In normal times, the appointment system is actually a good thing.  Use your lunch break at work to get your permit to acquire and don't have to wait an hour in line.  What needs to happen is they keep the appointment system but also have a line for standbys.

Per my HPD lawsuit settlement, HPD has to stay open late at least one night per week and accept EVERYONE in line before 6:30pm.  Going to have a lot of late nights there when that happens.
