what place has the best char siu?

my top 3 are:
1.  Nam Fong
2.  Asian mix (under safeway piikoi/beretania)
3.  Royal Kitchen

I haven't gone Nam Fong in a few years, but i love their Char siu
Asian Mix is very good too, but most times get long line
Royal Kitchen's char siu has been better lately so i've  been going there.  and parking is more convenient than Nam Fong

this is from Royal kitchen yesterday.  i like the fatty parts and the crispy parts. yesterday had both.   :shaka:

Knew the cleaver guy at Duck Lee (Market City) and they would save the koge pieces for me.  Was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

He's even the guy who taught me certain Mandarin phrases cause at the time I was dating Chinese chicks.  And it worked out cause I married one.

Fong's Meat Market, King St. side of Oahu Market.  While chopping up your order, the old man would usually hand you a piece.  Their roast pork is also excellent, as are the turkey tails.  Go early, they sell out fast.

Leave a case of 223 at the corner of hotel and fort street by 2am or you'll never see your cat again.
Don't even think about calling the cops. I paid them all off in krispie cremes.

I love char siu as much as I love roast pork.  I get my fix at Po Sing located at the Mililani Market Place by Safeway and Longs.

Problem is I can't have these things as often as I like due to my health but there are days ainokea. ;D

I also love Kau Yook. (sp?)  I love the fatty Kau Yook.

I think I mentioned this before but fat is essential for brain function.
Your brain is made of fat.
Therefore kau yuk is brain food.
Your body naturally craves what it needs to sustain itself.
Your body needs kau yuk and charsiu.

When I think of kauyuk, I think of the cubes of pork (usually belly) that is in the liquidy red food coloring sauce/oil/whatever the hell that was.  I've seen some restaurants serve it without the red food coloring, and some called it "pot roast pork" or something like that.  My mom and grandma LOVED that growing up.

I am Asian.

And my doctor is pissed at me because I have fatty liver.

And I am fat.  Well, I must say only when I lift up my t-shirt.  ;D

And I love roast pork, char siu, and kau yook (yuk)

And.......I think I'll try to convince my daughter to make a run to Po Sing today.......

No wonder I've been acting lame-brained lately.  Gotta eat more kau yuk and char siu and roast pork.

The fatty ones..... :shaka:

You guys is a bad influence.
Went to young's fish market for turkey tails but they neva have.
Ended up with regular charsiu. Not bad.
Could use more seasoning and burnt edges. Very juicy though.
