Not sure where to post this due to it being job related.  But guess this thread fits it the best due to the media claiming jobs are soaring. 

Mrs. CMO is looking for another job because her current job she travels too much.  She's been looking for 6 months and nothing that will pay her what she is currently getting, or even close to it. Basically a 50% pay cut would be the average in the same industry.  For those who are paying close to what she's getting, she isn't qualified.

So some say to just change careers. She did look into other careers and many start off at the bottom due to her having no XP, which means starting pay mid $30's to low $40's. Again a huge pay cut. And why work a new field if she really doesn't plan on making a career out of it. So spending 10 years to work her way up isn't an option because she is waiting for something in her field to come up.

This is just 1 industry. I have a few other friends in the same boat in other industries who were fired due to COVID. Their jobs are back, but at half the pay.  Many companies realized they can fire the higher paying workers and hire new ones at way less pay.  And COVID was the perfect reason to fire without getting a wrongful termination suit later.  So the media asked why so many jobs when so many are unemployed, this is 1 reason. Low pay means people will hold out.  And many of these 500K jobs that they're claiming aren't new jobs, but existing positions being offered back due to firings related to COVID.

The Washington Times reports the White House is “reportedly unhappy with the media coverage of President Biden and has embarked on a mission to change that, according to a report late Tuesday.” Biden, and Democratic administrations in general, are not used to the harsh criticism of the press; because they rarely endure it.

Nonetheless, CNN reported that three top White House officials are secretly meeting with major news outlets in an attempt to lure them into more favorable coverage of Biden. CNN did not name the specific outlets the administration officials met with, but noted anchors, producers and reporters were in the meetings.
According to the report, officials are asking for positive stories surrounding job creation, the economy, supply chain and want the spin that the economy is in better shape than it was last year.
White House officials attending the meetings are reported to be National Economic Deputy Directors David Kamin and Bharat Ramamurti, and Ports Envoy John Porcari.

I wonder what would happen if the news outlets refuse? 

All for show. They got flack and caught for super bias coverage, so they down play little and biden complains. So it would appear they arent fake news.

When someone tells you they want to become a journalist, let them know the new position description for that career is called "Content Creator."

Just FYI.

Their goal is to flood the public media with their content and take in revenue.  Quality and journalism are dead at all of the main stream networks with a couple of exceptions.  At least with Fox, they tell you if your watching a news story or opinion/editorial piece.  CNN jams it all together with no differentiation.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls McConnell ‘Biden’s B*tch’ Over Debt Ceiling Vote

Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene sounded off on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as “Biden’s b*tch” over a deal McConnell struck giving Democrats the votes necessary to raise the debt ceiling.
The Senate voted 50-49 to raise the debt limit by $2.5 trillion.

This happened after 14 Republicans joined Democrats to suspend the filibuster, allowing Democrats to vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling.

The deal was crafted by McConnell and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Soon after the House voted for approval, Greene took to Twitter and went off on McConnell.
“The House of Representatives is voting after midnight tonight because [McConnell] allowed Democrats to bi-pass the filibuster and ram through the debt ceiling increase to $31.5 TRILLION,” she tweeted.
Greene added: “Mitch is Biden’s b*tch.”
