The trend for the past 5 years or so has been like above, but with residential homes and their roofs. These out of state roofers will go door to door and claim that "insurance will buy you a new roof" and that they need 1 anyways.They even go to say that "we did your neighbors roof and they paid just their $500 deductible for an entire new roof", which they didn't and it was another company who did the roofing and it wasn't always free.  Huge headache for claims adjusters for various companies because they have to explain "wear and tear" is not covered. 

So like ambulance chaser attorneys, but with construction.

I've seen some "interesting" work from electricians.  In single family homes (typically wood framing), the sparkies were the last to come through.  Second to the HVAC folks the sparkies ripped holes all over the place.   ;D
