They are still lending money, just shutting down the more risky( and profitable)
loans in favor of safer forms of banking.
Full disclosure; I'm debt free and I don't borrow money.
Credit cards I have,  get fully paid every month.
I also don't do business with Banks, I'm all credit unions.
