So the SCOTUS already ruled that the Eviction Moritorium is illegal. Biden acknowledges that almost all legal scholars agree it is illegal and there is no way to make it legal but says yeah whatever he is going to extend it anyway. Literally the US government seizing your property, in a sane world he would be impeached tomorrow by both sides of the aisle for completely ignoring the law of the land and his Oath to defend the constitution.

Luckily, the renter has been able to make rent since the pandemic started.

If he had not made his rent payments, I would be at the mercy of the bank holding my mortgage.

I'd either have to come up with the additional $1,000/month plus repairs, or put the house up for sale.

Hard to sell a house with a non-rent-paying person residing in it who's being shielded from eviction by the US Government.
